Lazy keyboard
Abedeus
I just tried to play some NES games on my laptop. It was kinda hard, but then I transfered them to stationary PC. I was surprised, because it appears my keyboard on laptop doesn't allow me to press more than few keys Oo. When I try to press X and an arrow, it works, then I press X and... I can't use Z again. In some games, that makes everything hard (lol ninja gaiden). For other games, it's impossible to kill a boss (lol ninja ga... yeah). Any solutions for this?

What emulator are you using? (If any)
Does this only happen when using this emulator?

this is Keyboard Ghosting. Meaning that you cant press more than a few keys at a time, most newer keyboards dont have this problem.
Its the keyboard not the computer AFAIK.

I believe Razor Hardware has a keyboard so you can press 10 keys at the same time, that's the maximum. (since normal human beings have 10 fingers, unless you have l33t skills and can play with your toes)
A solution to this is plugging a second keyboard in your laptop.

Most older keyboards max out at 2-4 keys pressed at one time.

Yea, ive noticed this with desktop computers aswell. PS2 keyboards can only have certain combinations of 3 or 4 keys at the same time.
Some better USB keyboards however can take more keystrokes. So as Alexandra said, your best bet is to use another keyboard. But i reccomend a decent USB keyboard usch as a logitech G11/G15 or Razor Tarantula (thats around 140 usd last i checked)
Hope this helped

Eh. Yeah, new keyboard could help, but you know... I bought laptop for a reason.
But I already fixed the problem by changing arrows to I, J, K and L, so it's like WSAD only in a more comfortable place.
