Fast switching between weapons?

I'm trying some different builds in hero battles, but I'm having trouble. I see people doing things like backbreaker sins where they have a hammer for the knockdown then instantly have daggers in their hands. However, when I try this it takes forever to switch weapons so by the time I do the enemy I knocked down is back up, and my chain is ruined. What are they doing to swap weapons so fast? Yes, I do have them linked to my f1-4 keys, but even hammering on the key it still moves too slow to take advantage of the knockdown. So what's the trick?

i think its press esc key to cancel your attacking then you switch to the other set

Yep, pressing Escape makes you stop attacking, which in turn allows you to switch much faster.

i dont know if this applies to attack skills, but if youre in the middle of casting a spell you can press a different weapon set than what youre using and after you finish it will automatically switch. probably doesnt work well for attack skills though i thought maybe since backbreaker has such a long animation it would work.

Few techniques all based on weapon swapping while moving (since its instant):

1. click ground inbetween hits to move.
2. use WASD or arrows to move in between hits.
3. hold both right + left mouse buttons down in between hits.

Most people use (1). This is same for moonwalking on war/para that you see many people do in GvG.
