Ok thanks! I thought my combo would be a good idea. Oh well, I'll live with my choice.

Thanks though

You can change your secondary profession later on in the game, so I'd wait until then if you're over 5-10 hours in. For the majority of the game, you'll be fine if you just use Necromancer skills.

Nope I have Game Of The Year which is Prophecies. I'll probably switch to a Mesmer later...

Thanks though

I always start new chars with monk secondary (unless it is a monk), just for the hard res.

By the time i'm interested in farming and more efficient builds i'll be able to change profession anyway.

Er... you don't like any of the game after pre-searing? That's 99% of the game. To be frank, there are so few skills available in pre-searing that it doesn't much matter what you take.

Nerco/Warrior is good only in pvp from my experiences, there used to be a fairly good guild (sry don't remember the name) that ran a 8 nercro/war team that OUT SPLIT [Evil], which was arguebly one of the best guilds Guild Wars have seen.

But for Pve Nerco/Mes or Necro/monk are better choices.

It kind of depends on what build you are running. If you're a minion master, then being a monk really helps.

actually i don't think you'll use many of second profession skills that soon in game anyway - ppl always say how important it is to pick x second profession, but it's usually so that you don't have ebough attribute points that early in game to actually use skills from more than 1-2 attributes(as for necro i can see it either curses/death/blood and sould reaping). So by the time you are lvl20 and do all attribute quests, i think you'll figure out what builds are best for you and then you'll start making "combos" and of course you'll be able to change profession by then .

shouldn't necro advices go to the specific thread in the The Campfire?
anyways to OP -
once you get ascended in the desert you can pretty much play with combos for the secondary proff - by then just enjoy playing with a random bar
