Better Weapons

I'm currently playing Chapter one and am on the mission where you have to push back the Charr. I can handle them in small groups with the assistance of the computer characters but I get killed very quickly when I have to face the big group of them.

I'm using a fire wand which has been customized and identified but the damage is only 5 - 8. Where can I get a better weapon, or more powerful one?

Is there a quest I can go on to get a better weapon. I have also been to all the weapon shops around town.

From other ppl you get better weapons, but Ele doesnt attack with their weaps, they use skills for 99.9% of dmg..

There should be no missions where you're actually fighting a huge group of Charr all at once. If you're on the Great Northern Wall mission, then you need to be running back to the wall. In Fort Ranik, you have to help reassemble a catapult which will take out a huge group of Charr. In the Ruins of Surmia, you'll want to avoid the large group of Charr just south of the obelisks.

Since you're an Elementalist, you should almost never be attacking with your wand. Your spells deal the most damage, so you'll want to use those. It's more important to find weapons with bonuses like half casting time or half skill recharge.

But, to answer your original question, if you can't find a better weapon at the weapon crafters, then your options are to buy a weapon from some other player, or find one as a drop.

But, yes, as they have said, as an Ele your main damage dealing is through spells, not from the weapon itself. Of course, that can be said of every class, to a lesser or greater extent.

I will get my war A S L A N lvl 20 with Charr Slaying Sword and Shield Vrs Charr.

If you get enough gold someone could craft you a very good weapon vrs charr.

When doing those missions make sure that you are following the instructions. There is a mission when you will see the charr and then have to RUN back to Price Rurik.

In the Mission listed above the catipult is the best way to kill the char.
