Only show unlocked skills which you currently do not own when using tomes.
Hailey Anne
I know that it shows the skills you own greyed out but it is still hard to see some of them.
It would make more sense to only show those that are still unlocked, but not owned when you use a tome because its not like you can learn them twice anyway.
Thread Edited by Celestial Beaver: "Locked" skills are skills that are not availavle for hero use, or obtainable by tomes. I assume you were talking about unlocked skills. I edited the thread and poll - I hope that's correct. Seemed to be causing a lot of confusion!

Why would it show locked skills? You need to unlock skills to use tomes.
HawkofStorms
I think he meant "learned" instead of "locked." In which case that actually makes a lot of sense and is a good suggestion.
If its not a typo... I don't know what he means.

While it wasn't worded well I assumed the OP meant the the tome only shows you skills you can learn at that time... if that's the case I voted yes...but now i'm a bit confused as well...
Shayne Hawke
The suggestion is to remove any learned skills from the selection, because it's hard to see that some of them have already been learned.
I can only assume you're color blind, or something. I see no reason to vote one way or the other.

i can't really say it's a bad suggestion, but i can say that it's not good enough to be anywhere near the top of anet's priority list, so

Whether the OP meant locked or unlocked skills, I think it's fine as is. You can't use a tome on a locked skill anyway, so it's not like you'd click the wrong button. If it's an unlocked skill, you can tell because the Learn button will become active. I think it's fine the way it is.

I think...that if you have multiple tomes, the window shouldn't close after you use a tome. It would help when I'm using 30 or 40 tomes at once.
pamelf
30 or 40 tomes??? O.o
That's a lot of tomes...

To be fair, I actually had this exact idea and was about to post it when this guy beat me too it.
Why do I have to look at all these skills I already know when I activate a tome? Its not like I can learn them again.

Why, no!
Tomes show two things:
- Tomes you have unlocked.
- Tomes you know (or not).
You can use that to compare in Balthazar Priests.
I'd rather add a new sort option: Known/Unknown to the sort button.

Sorry if I was unclear I got rushed.
I mean only show the skills you currently do NOT know on your char.
I would even be fine with a sort option as Mithran suggested.
Alot of the skills are just hard to see if you already have them on your char without having to compare.
