Black Items that need to be BRIGHTENED

Okay, I have a Bandana and HAD a Mask of the Mo Zing. Both Dyed Black. Problem is, I switch out these items for different head pieces. Save your "black is overrated" bullshit for somewhere else. Black is my favorite color. Until they make something darker, it continues to be my favorite color.

My suggestion, can items that are SO black when dyed still be...VISIBLE? in the inventory? You CANNOT see them in the inventory, at all. I just deleted a PvP character that I was messing with that I guess had my Mask of the Mo Zing on it. I had bought a purple dye to mess with armors, put it in the storage before I deleted, guess I put it where the Mask was thinking it was an empty slot. GG, /selfownage.

Like I said, I don't want your flames, as they don't agree with my contentions. I don't see how this harms anybody. Just make the images VISIBLE. I shouldn't have to textmod my game to be a different color just to see these damn things.

Suggestive ideas?

A white shadow behind all items?
The ability to change the color of the UI?
A white outline around all items, whether it makes it distinguished or ugly?
Brighten all the items all together?
Only darker items get brighter, leave the rest the same?

But the majority wins, Anet. Fix this damn thing for us. Make us happy.

Hey look. My black scimitar. It's still.....silver? On the icon. How about we apply this to all items? Leave them alone, don't change the picture? :3 And things that are too dark, make them silver/white by default.

Quite annoying indeed.

Just make it brighter, or add some white glowing outlining so you actually see the shape.

Also add it for the normal drops that are sometimes so dark you can't see them without mousing over like some bows n stuff.

making black item brighter, means adding highlight to them = item become dark grey instead of black.

I agree with what you are saying.

The Bandana dyed Black is indeed very hard to se in the inventory, same goes for the Scar pattern for necro. Especially the Elite Canthan one imo.

I remember when the Inventory box/background were more grayish and lighter. Before a update that made it darker and blood more pink in colour ect.
All items were very visiable back then, but i must say i like the darker tone more now.
Allthough it comes with some problems when it looks like a free spot but you got a Black/Dark item there.

I don't know how to fix it, mabye a lighter/lighterdark edge arround the Black/Dark object like you say. Eitherway i don't think well see a change.

So? As long as we can see the damn thing, I'm fine. Some items, when dyed green for example, the entire icon shifts to green color, however, the actual skin only has partial effects of green.

Hell no, I don't want my armor lighter. I love it pitch black. I just want the stupid icons to be visible so I don't end up wasting spent-money again. I had to rebuy my friggin mask. Waste of an hour over a silly mistake that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

There are couple of items that have this problem the answer might be to alter the colour of the slot where they are stored, or some form of "aura" around the item.

Its not a big problem simply something to adjust for gw2 and maybe for gw1 when time permits so /Signed

They simply need to make Black dye brighter, instead of the horrible shading version that they currently have.

/signed. There is absolutely no reason no to sign this. It's annoying. And the glasses comment is unnecessary as there are a lot of different considerations here as well i.e. playing the game on different computers with different brightness settings. My computer at home is set to how I like it with the best visibility etc...but when I play at my boyfriends he has his set to how he likes and needs it which often means for me I even have trouble seeing where i'm going in some dungeons, thus having no hope of ever seeing something with low dye visibility. (temporary brightness changes aren't possible as we both have dual monitors and it's absolute HELL trying to re-calibrate colours to match once you've got it perfect the first time...)

Either make the inventory icons lighter or the inventory background. I've lost a few items in there too

They should a white 'shadow' when they are dyed black. It's hard to see shadow weapons because of that.
