Monthly rollerbeetle racing

hi,

i know that many people here like the rollerbeetle racing and i thought of this
how about a monthly event wich holds a rollerbeetle championship
i know that winning a race improves your gamer title track but lets just keep it out of this context and make the racing just for fun
there would be a list of top races who can then take place in the championship for small prizes, only the first 20 top races of the list can participate and when the championship is over the list is reset and all records are deleted
just the top 3 would get a prize for winning just as an example
1. 10k
2. 5k
3. 2.5k
all others will receive a normal rollerbeetle tonic for participating in the tournament

the championship should be live to watch with spectators

this way there is a new mini-game for when you're bored
as grand opening of these races the prizes are double

tbh they should have roller beetle racing open every weekend.

Since I'm not a big fan of Rollerbeetle racing, I don't care either/or. Still. Could be interesting.

i'm a fan of events myself but this way the gamer/lucky/unlucky title becomes very easy to get
with each month one weekend of rollerbeetle racing it's still fairly hard to get it and well yea, entertainment is always good instead of a boring weekend bonus

yea but it adds some kind of flavor to the weekend....and cmon what pve titles arent easy to get they all just require time.

i just propose this because Anet is seriously getting short on weekend idea's and we're just always getting a grind weekend that everyone QQ's about
for once i wanna see people cheer about a weekend event

yea i hear ya, i think things like this would spice up gw...i mean i'm all for thier weekend events even tho most of them dont really pertain to me...silly things like beetle racing on the weekends would be a great change of pace....fun little events and or bonus games should be open everyweekend aside from double xp or whatever bonuses....but on the opposite end of that argument i am aware the staff is busy working on gw2 so they dont have the time nor effort or desire to do little things like this.

the rollerbeetle and the circuits exist, just like the dragon arena and snowball stuff
they just have to make it available

Gamer is hard to get atm, just in events. They should extend gamer title and do that. The winners could win extra gamer points, everlasting beetles or greased lightnings, Maybe tournament points

They should just turn these event games into a form of pvp.
Its not like events on GW are a big deal anyways. So there wouldn't be a big loss.
People who miss out can play. People can get their gamer title. We would participate in the main event during a festival because we don't need to worry about title.

I dont see why it would be a championship. Its mostly has to do with luck in rollerbeetle racing. It would be more just for fun for me. But it seems kinda like a cool idea I guess.

the point of this is just to open the rollerbeetle races to anyone and the best 20 racers get the option to race in a small championship
if they can't they can let number 21 of the list and so on participe in their place
but for the entire weekend the races are open for anyone willing to play and even while the championship is open the races are still open for people who just want to go down rollin

So, you're saying you want a new RBR Arena where instead of gamer points, players compete for the top 3 spots, and get money according to their position?

That doesn't really sound great, as RBR is a pretty unique form of PvP, and that doesn't seem like a good thing to have monthly competitions of. The prize progression is poor, especially since the only people that even get a prize are the top 3. Etc, etc, the idea of monthly competitions for money in RBR is bad.

Change to bi-monthly, fix the highscore list to allow one name per account, keep it to Gamer points, and you get an "okay" from me.

There has to be some way to get gamer points except at festivals, otherwise it's just another unattainable title.

To have a huge MAT-like event for a minigame is just superfluous, though (in my opinion, anyway). Not worth the time.

I'd make something different.

Remember the 'outpost' used for the costume brawl? I'd activate one different game each week, and turn that outpost into the 'Zaishen Game Arena'.

Each week, 1 random game would be activated and announced in the login screen.
* "This week's game is XXXXX"

And to join them, people would have to use 'Zaishen Game Tickets'.
Tickets could be purchased with Balthazar Faction, Skill Points, Tournament Tokens and even gold in the same outpost, from a copy of Tolkano there.

If a Realm f Dwayna was added, it could be like Tijark orchard and have minigames, and you would also earn tickets to this games there.

In events, all event games would be activated and be accessible for free in their special outposts, and the Zaishen Game Arena would be temporarily closed, and an NPC there would send you to the current areas if you own the appropriate campaign.

And done! Gamer points all year.

Where do I sign?

To have access to mini games at all time would take away something special from the festivals themselves. But I would love to have them around on some weekends as an event.. say e.g. sometime in between two festivals (*cough* like now *cough*) there could be a gamers weekend for people to access DA & rollerbeetle... snowball & costume brawl can be left for their respective festivals if they're too 'special'.
