My friend and I were having an argument over pet sizes. He believes a hearty polar bear(for example) is bigger than a dire polar bear. Is there any truth to this?

Hearty animals are generally bigger than the other two types, but I think the size difference may vary from species to species.

Is there any proof of that?

There should be images on the wiki, and in many of the post your pet threads. Why not make a hearty pet yourself?

Actually, wiki doesn't have any comparison pictures between hearty and dire pets. And I can't find any "post your pet" threads.

I checked the wiki, you're right about that. However the 'Post Ranger Your Pet' thread is linked in the Screenshot Exposition's thread archive, and contains in it many pcitures of pets of various sizes.

However, some pets (certain ones in Factions, specifically, the pheonix from divine path) do not grow at all.

Didn't that get changed a couple of months back?
