This is just RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing *guacamole*, and I'm RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing mad right now that everyone will laugh at me for this: failing survivor.

This is my SECOND time aiming for this title and I lost it(the first I did something really stupid), but not because of me doing stupid, but the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing damn computer froze!!!! The biggest problem of getting survivor isn't the nature, it's losing connection and the computer freezing problem. What's even worse is that I lost the title second time when scroll duration is DOUBLED!!!! And this is only time and chance for me to get survivor.

So ArenaNet, can you please make the death mechanic make sure that deaths doesn't count when you loose connection or your computer freezes?

P.S. The character was a monk from NF. And I have 10 character slots

how would they even monitor that?

Reroll! I wasted 30k on my paragon, didn't die, and decided paragon was boring. So I made a dervish, got in good groups (henchmen), and only tried when I reached level 20 w/o dying.

Anyways I agree the system needs to be changed, but not everyone does nor do they agree how.

I know Dark Paladin. The key to not dying is to not stress yourself about it until you get to level 20 (now 10) and farm Fronris' Lair in HM (amazingly fast, high risk with your shit connection) or get ran to Lutgardis and HFFF (slower, pays better (if you bought scrolls with money from fronris) but 0 risk)

If you stress about it you either take two mindsets: "THERES NO WAY I'M DYING ON THIS MOB" and die, or "looks too deadly..." and never get anything done.

I just whipped up some radass builds for my starter heros and managed to survive till 20, and farmed fronris- but as I suggested for you- HFFF.

So, let me guess.. you died when your computer froze because you were soloing something?
The computer freezing is your issue, not anets (generally anyway) and there is no way for them to know that you froze or went to make a drink or sandwich etc.
My suggestion - try not to take shortcuts to speed up the process (like cheesy dungeons) and make three good heros and select henchies and go and play the game. Even if you freeze, with decent h/h you should not be in danger.

That's true, I doubt they have a way to tell which computers connected to their servers are frozen. Also, this would be incredibly abusable. "I'm close to dying, better unplug my router quick."

Definately abusable to get survivor, but its such an irrelevant title now due to surefire safe ways.

In my opinion, remake, get safer henchies, dont solo, and be careful. I got survivor on my paragon (i know they are tanks), but it was easy, i barely had to be careful till i had like 1 mill xp, and i didnt cheat in any way.

Or simple way, is get a guildy to do basically all of early game nightfall, all of cantha with you, so that youre safe, and run HFFF if you need the title.

I wish AB deaths didnt count, back way back when, far before i started AB, i was continuing my Survivor title on my War, and i was about 10k xp from r2, went into AB due to an invite from guild, and died a whole bunch /deaths <Holy shit they counted? /fail> that sucked.

Probably won't ever happen, though its a good idea, its just impossible.
