Visual Styles

Hi,

Never posted in technical before so hope this is the correct place to post it, otherwise, mods please move it


Ok so here is my question. I got windows XP atm, but I love the skin of vista way more. So I thought I'd change the visual style.

I got this atm:



I find this quite nice, and Im not complaining at all, but to show this style, I need a program called Styler, which is kinda slow. It needs to start up first, unlike Zune style, or other standart XP styles.

So my real question is: Where could I download Visual Style packages without being in need of Styler. I got the currect from www.deviantart.com.
I aswell would fancy a little more Aero like style.

Please post me some suggestions

I used window blinds the program, and got all my themes from wincustomise.com
I didnt find it slow or laggy, and the choice of skins was nice :-) I even found a guild wars theme though i didnt like it xDD

You can look for VistaCG. All you need is your UXTheme patched so you can use unsigned .msstyles

I'd say go here, but currently XP SP3 won't allow the theme change. Soon, though, a new version will come and you can change the look (I can't wait for it myself).

I use also use wincustomize and alot of the apps there. The only software I would stay clear of, unless you plan on buying object desktop, is icon packager, it can be rather intrusive. (I did buy object desktop) The other thing of note is the more of these apps that are running the more ram they will use.
