I was looking around wiki and i came across this article
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Major_update
A major update is what the developer of Guild Wars, ArenaNet, calls an update of the Guild Wars game series that adds new locations to the game. Major updates are downloaded automatically as they come out and for free at no hassle to the user. A major update will usually introduce a few new explorable areas, towns and many quests to the latest chapter and rejuvenate interest in the game. Major updates are different from chapters in that they are free and their content is simply added to existing content and world map. While both types of releases add more locations, items and quests, chapters can add new professions and skills. Major updates so far: * In Guild Wars Prophecies: The Sorrow's Furnace update on September 7th, 2005, which introduced two new explorable areas. * In Guild Wars Prophecies: The Tomb of the Primeval Kings update on January 19th, 2006 which introduced a new explorable area and moved most PvP content to The Battle Isles. * In Guild Wars Nightfall: The Domain of Anguish was implemented on December 1st, 2006. |

Work has been crazy for me this week. Trying to get everything ready for the next build, which barring complications, should be out next week. Plus working on getting things rolling on the stuff planned for next month. Right now I'm working on writing up the Dev Update for all the changes incoming. I don't know if I can actually explain all the thoughts behind the stuff we are doing, but we'll see. If people have questions, which I'm sure they will, I would be happy to answer them here once it's Live. Man, it's going to be one monster of an update. Should be interesting. Heh. |
We know that Anet has been working recently on a big update and i think this is more than a "Balancing" update.
Peoples Thoughts?
