Is it true multiple small bans can lead to a perm ban? How long is a racism ban usually for? Spamming?
My first ban ever was for 2 weeks. It seems unfair IMO. The wiki states a few hours to a few days, not 2 weeks.

Would you tell us what you were suspended for? Otherwise, can't really judge whether you were treated reasonably.
A buddy of mine was suspended for 48 hours for an offensive character name. Upon returning, he was forced to change the character name or they would delete the character for him. I thought that was pretty fair, considering they let him keep the character.
Regarding racism... I wouldn't agree that it should be automatically permanent ban. There are times when someone says something they shouldn't, using bad judgment, and a temporary ban fits the situation. There are other times, when someone is being malicious and purposeful. In those situations I would completely agree with a permanent ban.

yes its true multiple small bans can lead to a perma ban, but you can do things so harsh they will perma ban you your first time (botting,trying hack come to mind)
Bad character names bring in 48-72 hour bans some longer for repeat offenders.
Trying to impersonate any Anet personel will result in a ban.

Here is a tip, No matter how mad people make you dont spam racest or rude comments over local chat. (many people SS and report) or /report for spam.
Try not to Pm someone to yell at them as they can/will SS the conversation and report you after so many reports Anet can not look the other way.

Ahhh I just got a 72 hour ban for language, but I think some people took it the wrong way.
Some person was wondering why words showed up as ****'s, so I told he had his language filter on, then went on jokingly demonstrating it at him.
Oh well, was funny. He said "lol" and another random person said "bravo!"

A friend of mine got banned like 3 times for calling people bad names like saying standard bad things bout their families. The lengths was standard 3 days. These banns occured like 2 months after each other and the first one was like 1 year ago.
About 2 moths ago he received a perma bann. That was because he talked with someone who was selling gw accounts.
So im not sure if the perma bann was because it involved yccount sales or because the earlier banns. earlier banns wile be taken as ´marks´ and can influence the next bann length.
This is some bann lengths players experience, maybe anyone else knows more bout the marks , because i got banned 2 times for inapropriiate languag aswell.
