ok im talking about in HA. Why do RC's and other prots take [SKILL]Shield of Absorption[/SKILL] over [SKILL]Shielding Hands[/SKILL]
besides a little longer recharge time, SH has higher dmg reduction and longer time. Unless somehow I'm just not thinking of something isn't SH better?
EDIT: How does it do that? after 4 hits it only blocks 20. SH can negate that in one hit. If a warrior hit you four times dealing 25, 36, 78, and 42 SoA would make it 20, 31, 73, and 37.. where as SH would make it 7, 18, 60, and 24. right?
SoA > Sheilding Hands

SoA decreases the amount of damage taken by 5 for EACH HIT while the enchantment is active... meaning that the first hit is reduced by 5 the second by 10 the third by 15... so in your instance the warrior would hit you for 20, 26, 63, and 22.
SH however has the same amount of reduction through the whole time the character is enchanted with it.
