Anyone know of a list or give me a quick list of the most time consuming and/or difficult elite skills to cap by profession? Usefull when i get elite tome drops and know what to use them for.
There's a particular Factions boss called Sun, the Quivering, who only spawns if the Am Fah are your enemy. He's the sole cap for the warrior elite Quivering Blade, so if the Am Fah are your allies, you'll have to tome up that elite. (He's in Wajjun Bazaar, so I doubt he's a very difficult cap if he actually spawns, though.)
(According to wiki, dumping the Seek Out Brother Tosai quest won't work - you'll have to finish the whole chain.)
Feast of Corruption is really time consuming, since it's only available in some areas in the Southern Shiverpeaks (Tyria), captured from a wurm boss who either:
- Spawns in those random locations but could also possibly not be there at all
- Has the only fixed spawing point in Dreadnought Drift, which is quite far away from Camp Rankor and had no direct access, so you have to travel through the whole Snake Dance area.
Then I'd say... The six elite skills in the Mineral Springs (Flourish, Practiced Stance, Shield of Judgment, Well of Power, Ineptitude, Glyph of Energy), for the same reason: no direct access to the area, so a long travel required. Bosses are guaranteed to be always there, yet their position on the map varies...
yep prophecies elites are the winner in my book....I STILL have yet to cap shield of deflection on my 2nd monk since everytime I have done that dang mission I get the wrong breezer...and dont feel like hiking around the island to get it. Another bad one is aura of faith, that just because the bosses are annoying.....but at least there are a few different bosses for that one.
The Ring of Fire islands elites, for sure. I actually enjoyed the Mineral Springs caps, it was nice and relaxing, compared to the hectic zone/rezone/rezone/suicide of Ring of Fire islands.
Some of the Realm of Torment elite capture locations can be quite difficult. Mostly due to the tight patrol routes, and over aggroing that tends to happen.
