Hi, i'm new to Gwguru so this is my first guide, hope you like it.
This is mostly for people new to GW who aren't very experienced, it's a little explanation about the very famous build “piano's making a dramatic sound” the perma sin, it shows the standard build and explanation on how it works, also please note that i'm explaining the A/E build not A/Me or Me/A , sorry (it's the one I know how to do).
The perma sin stands for permanent assassin, as it might make you think it means an assassin who is unbeatable and invincible, but like all builds it too has weaknesses.
It is also called Perma SF.
1. The Build
First of all I'm gong to explain the build itself and skills that are NEEDED to make a perma sin
1.[skill]Shadow form[/skill] the build's elite skill, can be found in the mission Vizunah Square, the third canthan mission.
2.[skill]Deadly paradox[/skill] it's a NightFall skill you can get it in Kamadan or get it from the hero skill trainer in Gate of Torment.
3.[skill]Glyph of Swiftness[/skill] it's an Eye of the North skill that can be found in the Eye of the North , the outpost of course
So we have our 3 needed skills as u can see this is how it works, SF makes you invulnerable to attacks, skills and spells, with 16 in Shadow Arts it lasts 32 seconds, it still has a recharge of 60 seconds AND it reduces your health to minimal amounts AND decreases damage you deal by a third,(Note: altough some people say that SF is now useless for farming, that is not true, yes the reduced dmage does slow you down, but that's all it does, i still manag to farm UW chaos planes wih little difficulty) as for the recharge thats where Deadly Paradox and Glyph of Swiftness come in, together they can reduce the reharge to 30 seconds, allowing you to recast it just in time which also means that, seeing as it never runs out you won't take damage from when it ends.
Also you need Eye of the North, NightFall and Factions to make a perma sin, it also costs you 30 energy to cast all 3 skills, i'll explain how you manage that later.
Now for the other 5 skills, a classical way is to put these skills in
1.[skill]Fire attunement[/skill] This reduces energy cost of fire spells always useful due to the fact that energy is the main problem here.
2.[skill]Glyph of lesser energy[/skill] this takes of 10 energy of the spells just like fire attunement but unlike fire attunement this doesn't last as long as it does
3.[skill]Mark of Rodgort[/skill] this hex causes burning every time the enemy takes fire damage, this is useful in combination with next skill
4.[skill]Lava Font[/skill] fire damage every second, I suppose you see now why it I a good combination with Mark of Rodgort
5.[skill]Flame Djinn's haste[/skill] causes damage to nearby foes, increases speed by 25% and if an enemy is hit by the spell, it's recharge is reduced by half a good spell for the build actually
Others you can put in instead of [skill]lava font[/skill] [skill]mark of rodgort[/skill] and [skill]flame djinn's haste[/skill] are [skill]Meteor Shower[/skill] [skill]bed of coals[/skill] and [skill]feigned neutrality[/skill] (ever since the mindblade spectres have had hex breaker added to them, the [skill]mark of Rodgort[/skill] spell will result in it's usual way, BUT with you taking damage, so the build i posted above can't be used in Chaos Planes).
Another good build is the perma sliver form, the skills i use are [Skill]Ebon battle standared of honor[/skill], [skill]sliver form[/skill] [skill]glyph of lesser energy[/skill] and [skill]intensity[/skill]
The attributes are as follows
1 Shadow Arts= 12+1+3
2 Fire magic = 12
3 Deadly Arts=3(+3) (rune is optional)
2 The Equipment
2.1 Weapons
As for Weapons I suggest a one-hand weapon and an off-hand, this way you will maximize max energy, which you NEED for the build.
There are 3 optimum weapons you can use, Totem Axe, Rajazan's Fervor and Spirit of the Forgotten, the Totem axe is a Prophecies axe with +20% Enchantments and + 5 energy, Rajazan's Fervor is the same except for the fact that it has in Icy hilt and it's a sword, while Spirit of the Fogotten is a spear with identical mods as the Totem Axe.
Now these are practically the same weapons, why have them all? Simple, Totem Axe is found in Prophecies, Rajazan's Fervor is found in Factions, and Spirit of the Forgotten in Nightfall, that way it doesn't matter which one you have, you can get one of the weapons without buying them.
As for the off-hand this is much cheaper because you can take the collector reward in either Crystal Desert or Southern Shiverpeakes, beacause in both there is collector which has a flame artifact, what you will need to get it are 5 dune burrower jaws (CD) or 5 feathered avicara scalps (SSP), for the CD you need to go to the Arid Sea, you need to find sir Pohl Sanbert, he's on a ridge where you can see the ruins of the city, and for SSP look for Goran Grimyak, he's in Mineral Springs to the west near the artisan Hagrem.
2.2 Armour, runes and insignia
For armour just take the cheapest you can (which still has +1 on helmet), seeing as you plan on being invulnerable by never not having SF on.
For runes and inisgnias it's quite simple, just get a superior Shadow Arts rune, 4 runes of attunement and 5 radiant insignia.
2.3 Ending overview
With all this you will get
1. +33 energy
2. +20% enchantments
3. 20% Half cast and recharge on fire spells
So you will have exactly 58 energy ,allowing you to cast the three main skills, and SF will last 38 second, there by giving you more time to recast it.
3. Pros and Cons
3.1 Pros
1. You can take on any number of enemies.
2. You can take on almost any enemy
3. Makes a good running build.
4. Uses only 3 skills allowing you a choice of 5 others
3.2 Cons
1. Some enemies can utterly and completely destroy this build, an example is Mindflay spectres, (i think they have been removed, not sure) seeing as they have signet of disenchantment, which , seeing as it's a signet, isn't blocked by SF, and it can remove it, literally turning you into a sitting duck.
2. Doesn't protect you from indirect damage, meaning that if an enemy targets you with meteor shower it will fail, but if they target someone near you, then it will NOT fail and if you are in the spells radius you WILL take damage, same goes for any other spell that is an AoE spell and isn't cast on you
3.You still take damage from life stealing, signets and touch skills.
And so this guide comes to an end, i hope you liked it.
I don't THINK there are any mistakes but please tell me if you find them.
EDIT: Forgot to say that (obvioulsy) this isn't a build i invented and most of this i found around sites
