The websit that u linked is Taiwan, not China.
Those packages are only for sale in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
1. online package: US$40 (include tax), u can get a radom item
2. buy at store (7-11): US$40, lottery, and 14 Disney dolls etc.
3. monthly fee: US$10
4. new player for one week: US$4

again we get usless pre-order items that wasn't even maxed....be nice if anet makes a patch correcting this for us north amercian players......hell make even a patch with all collector items u want it will cost you 10$. something they do for the music pack.

Is it me, or don't I really get it. You get 14 Disney dolls when you buy the game in the store (

). It has a monthly fee and what they mean with the new player for one week, it don't really get it.

If the game has a monthly fee in Asia (which I doubt) then I think the pre-order items are well-placed.

Either that or Shields and Off-Hand Foci can't be customized? Whatever the case, Pre-Order shields and Foci aren't tradable, either.

All these preorder items are shown as uncustomized. Most of them has the two letter in white saying that they're two handed weapons. But knowing A-Net, these weapons can be customized (like the US preorder items) when its release in Taiwan!

Asian countries do have the option to pay for the game monthly. Korea does it as we speak.

A.net is the design studio, NCSoft is the publisher, so when it comes time to retail the game, guess who gets to add in little extras for marketing purposes.
Bingo, you guessed correctly: NCSoft, so therefore complaining to A.net is pointless.

Same point I made in the post about the Japanese items.

The screen shot shows them as uncustomized. BUt also realize that the pre-order items won't become available to players until the game is in retail (right now still in pre-order closed beta). When players do get the item, it'll most likely be customized.

I noticed that the Japanese pre-orders use the 7 sins, and the Taiwanese is a cheap rip-off of the same idea, with only 6 items (didn't like gluttony?) and diff animals. Here are my translations:

From my understanding is that, there are different packages you can buy. You can buy the $1280 NT (Taiwanese dollars) which is FREE guildwars forever or the $399 NT where you need to pay monthly. That's what I believe. There is also the $88 NT trial pack where you can play the game for 7 days.

Oh the 15 disney characters thingy are a promotional 7-11 in Taiwan is offering. I can't remember the number... for each $80 (for example) you spent at 7-11 you can get a disney character for free (collectables). So buying a $1280 game will result in 15 disney characters.

I have nwo moved back to Taiwan to work, so I am thinking of pre-ordering 2 copies for GW.. hopefully I get the black eagle bow and the peacok wand!! Haha

At first when I saw Japanese's preorder items I was like... WOW! Is Taiwan going to get preoders too(since both Japan and Taiwan's GW are to be released at the same time)??

Then I looked around in the forum using search and found Taiwan's preoder items link! Then I realised that Taiwan's preorder items actually looks better (majority) than Japanese's preoder items.. I'm very happy.

Yea, I want to see if some more crazy people to compete with Korea... although I doubt either in Japan or Taiwan that the gamers are like celebrity... I am more likely to believe that there are proffessional gamer in Japan than there are in Taiwan.

One time a Taiwan Chinese guy won the international Age of Empires 2 tournament, some official was trying to make gaming (making game/playing game) as an official category as a job training in school etc. This was put off by large number of parent and teachers saying "We already can't stop our kids to paly video game, and now you are trying to encourage them!?" Too bad.

(Taiwan got more population than Canada in the year of 1995 population count)

Oh and Taiwan has plenty of hardcore gamers, not sure about Japan though but I would imagine they have plenty too.
