I'm finding this impossible and my elementalist character can't stay alive long enough to do anything at all. I've looked on Wiki but when I play the enemies don't come in waves but are all there and kill me and my heroes/henchies really easily. Also I don't seem to have the right characters for any of their suggestions and I only have half the lightbringer points for any kind of status. I've had no trouble so far. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. (Sorry for the rant )

2 MMs. As simple as that. Also no need to worry too much about the blashmehy's, just don't let them far enough to capp the central shrine.

I've been playing for 26 months now, and between myself, guildies, and several long-time friends, we all found difficulty with this the first time through the game. Instead of telling people they suck at the game, try giving some constructive advice that will solve the problem.

You'll want a good pressure/spike build for this mission, the previous suggestions for 2 MMs and Savannah Heat are both effective. What I found to be most useful was bringing a couple guildies with [[Invoke Lightning] [[Chain Lightning] [[Lightning Orb] [[Air Attunement]

If you can't get a full player group, I strongly suggest taking the earth henchmen and having at least 2 monks.

Really, this one is pug-able. Just bring whatever brought you up to this point in the game. Obviously LB skills/title will be an advantage here, I would try to get r1 at least and bring along LB's Gaze for nice interrupts.

Small map with lots of enemies....AoE anyone?

As an ele I would use a Sin's promise nuker. Multiple MS's at portal is seksy.

I did this today with a friend who needed help in 5 mins using an imbagon (me), 3 discord necros, tahlk on prot, and in all honesty don't even remember what he and the rest of his heroes were running, and it didn't really matter as my heroes and I just steamrolled it.

Tbh when I went through this mission for the first time I found it really easy. Maybe you're lacking DPS, that's the main problem I see with most groups going through that mission. If you're not killing fast enough, you're going to get overwhelmed eventually. Try being more aggressive. 2 monks is fine, try filling the rest of your slots with more offensive characters.

Just group with H/H and heavy AoE/passive defense (I used DA Paragon, Fire Ele/SS necro, and a monk for heroes). Run to the center, kill everything. Go to one vortex, kill everything, run back, kill Blasphemy. Repeat until you win.

Remember you don't need to kill the Blasphemy immediately, it takes awhile to capture the center so keep focused on the vortexes and move back as late as possible.

Many thanks for all you lovely people who gave constructive advice. I did it easily in the end. Changed secondaries to Mesmers, armed with leech signet and power drain and looked carefully at the builds of each hero. Took two monks one protection and one healing and basically bashed everything in sight really hard remembering to give blasphemys a good whalloping inbetween.
Hurrah!

just remember to kill the clerics and at the rift get the claws to close the rifts....then I usually leave a henchie there to cap it and move on....yes it can be more difficult since you do have to manage the heroes a bit....but I found leaving the mm at the altar would take care of the blashmy and its orb thingys as well leaving the rest of us to do some killing.

take a mm kill the 1st group then flag the mm in the middle he will take care of The Blasphemy then just kill everything might take 2/3 goes cause some times you will get a bad spawn, i got masters that way

First...get Lightbringer's Gaze. Use that in the mish as much as possible. When you spawn in the circle thingie...attune up and run straight for the altar. Clear the first 2 waves. Flag MM hero down at altar. The rest of the team goes to cap the portals. Flag a healer hero between your capping group and hte MM in case he needs help. On the way to other portals, help the MM out for a sec b4 proceeding if he is getting overwhelmed.

Run SF+ Glowing Gaze.

i know its obvious but use as many humans players as possible, hench will just walk up to the torment claws or follow you.
i just stayed in the middle, cleared all the waves, then went to one portal, killed the claws first then the other margonites, but always keep one or 2 people back at the main shrine to defend it

haha i actually did this with a guildie and together it was awful. neither of us targeted the same thing because we both used different strategies in the past. he always killed the blasphemy first and i never did. we both decided to just H/H it and it went much smoother for both of us. he got master's, i missed it by 15 seconds. DPS and targeting the same thing are the most important elements to this mission.

I usually use flags a lot, splitting works. I usually flag some of my guys in the center to take care of the blasphemies while the rest of the team takes care of the portals. Something with thick armor like, say, a sturdy koss can take quite a licking from the energy balls.
