Ok well this only started very recently, basically what happens is the textures on my screen seem to just breakdown when im playing in a window, it doesnt happen so much when im actually playing but usually seems to creep up on me while im afk or guildwars is running in the background.
I just managed to stop all the guildwars crashes (overheating/malfunction message) ive been having by removing my creative soundcard thanks to rajah suggesting it to another player suffering from crashes.
The problems usually dont occur while im playing fullscreen, the usual result of the breakdown is that all my textures seem to breakdown and become warped (peoples armour turning gold and capes becoming bright orange, items losing all shape etc.)
The problem seemed to step to a new level last night when i went afk for 20min and came back to a completely warped screen, it was in fullscreen mode and my whole PC seemed to be jammed up, i managed to tab out to ventrilo but my PC was still running really slowly and it took a restart to correct the problem.
I'm thinking its a graphics card issue, ive stress tested all my equipment thoroughly and i get no problems and i only have this issue with Guild Wars so im leaning towards it being an issue with my driver but im not sure exactly what to do, ive also considered a bios flash for my graphics card but not sure how that works.
Heres my specs:
Intel E7200 (currently not overclocked)
8800GT (driver version 6.14.11.7519)
4GB of "Micron Tech. 8HTF12864AY-800E1" RAM
Ive also just downloaded a fresh gw.dat.
Problems when playing in a window!

Can you post a picture?
I'm curious incase it's the same problem I have had/still sometimes get
edit: when i say picture, i mean of the warped textures?

I actually managed to fix it by isntalling drivers from guru3d.com
I thought i had the most recent drivers but someone told me that guru3d actually has the official drivers from nVidia before the nVidia website does.
I installed the newest "beta" forceware drivers and it dropped my FPS right down to 30~ so i tried the most recent WQL(?) drivers and those seem to have fixed the problem without any FPS loss.
Basically the warping was just individual textures corrupting, i would sometimes get a screen full of bright colours and other times just have my cape turn bright orange and my armour lose all details and turn into a sigle colour.
