Alright...I really want to try out Guild Wars as I have heard some good things about it.
If I do get guild wars, I want to purchase it online, and PlayNC seems like the way to go...But their site makes it a little confusing...Do I just sign up for a PlayNC account then purchase Guild Wars: Prophecies and I have everything I need? Or is there other things I need to do before purchasing the game?
EDIT - I've actually changed my mind, I want to purchase the Guild Wars: Platinum edition which contains both Guild Wars: Prophecies and Guild Wars: Eye of the North...Is this a good purchase?
Little confused, help please!

Yes, I would recommend getting Prophecies with Eye of the North. EOTN has a place called the Hall of Monuments where you will be able track the achievements of your character and take those achievements to GW2 if you should so desire to do so. Also, EOTN has hero companions.
Amazon is selling the games cheap these days too.

Yeah, make the account, buy the game from where ever, use the code you get either in the NCSoft account or on the GW game (I did mine on the latter) and then you get to play.

Thanks I just noticed though that Gamestop sells the platinum edition for 30$ right now...So i'll probably just drive down and pick one up later.

I have another question...I was looking at the prices on Amazon's website...and they are saying that Guild Wars and most of the expansions are for Windows 2000 / XP...Will Vista work with Guild Wars?
Dawgboy
Works on vista, that's just pretty much the min. requirements

Alright, got another question.
Should I get Guild Wars Factions Platinum? Or just regular Guild Wars Platinum Edition which comes with Guild Wars: Prophecies and Eye of the North?

Get The Platinum Edition as most play in those areas.
Sigma Onkoron
Get Guild Wars Platinum Edition. You will find that it offers more, then factions. And prophecies is longer. So you will be able to play it longer.
