I Swear She Was Eighteen [Gwen]

Hello, I had uninstalled Guild Wars a while back because I decided to quit but installed it again about a month ago to pass the time. I have come across a few graphical errors and was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix them.
Here are a few screen shots:
Image 1: http://img525.imageshack.us/my.php?image=glitch1nl0.jpg
Fire is at a standstill and sort of stands like the one in the picture, the sound of a fire roaring is still heard like normal

Image 2: http://img376.imageshack.us/my.php?image=glitch2bl3.jpg
Resurrection shrines have strange blue orbs, maybe they replace the little sparkles that come from the shrines?

Image 3: http://img149.imageshack.us/my.php?image=glitch3on5.jpg
The Eye of the North background seems to be serrated into sections and the little mist/wind on the left is strange looking (For lack of a better description)

Image 4: http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=glitch4xc1.jpg
Smoke is more opaque and blocky

Image 5: http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=glitch5hx9.jpg
Some faces of NPC's (Usually females) look kind of like Gwen's right here

I was just wondering if there was any way to fix this because Guild Wars seems to be fluctuating in performance as sometimes when a map loads the screen will turn black for a few seconds and then turn into the map. I am also unable to save and load skill/armor templates. I have reinstalled to no avail, am not using tex mod, and don't believe I have done much to the Game Files.
Here are some of my Computer Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+
Nvidia 8500GT
Windows Vista 32 bit

Thank You for your time

your game is running in DX8 mode. if you have the -dx8 switch, remove it.

First off, thank you for your quick response but how do I go about doing that?

Edit: I figured out how to do it and it is all fixed! Thank you very much moriz!
