Questions of Oz

1: in pvp mode.... what do i do? how do i play? how do i go to pvp and fight other players? once i create character and chose pvp mode..... i end up in a town.... talk to npc and went down stair.... now what? i roam all over the town.. the town seems to be a private world and have no idea what to do. how to fight other player? later on i click random npc and it took me to training pvp with npcs... i dont want that... i want real player. how do i get start it to pvp with other players right away? can someone tell me a simple and clear method of how do i play pvp mode?

2: in role playing mode.... while in-game... when you first begin... you are in a private world with npc....does npc have voice dialogue? i could of swear i heard npc talk to you with voice in nightfall video i saw somewhere. but when i play factions role playing mode.... npc dont have voice dialogue... only text. i am lazy to read. so does only nightfall have voice dialogue?

3: when land a crit.... does it have unique sound?

4: does shield have block rate? if so.. does it have unique sound when blocked?

5: i tried playing a female warrior and i dont like her underwear much as my assassin or dervish. it is too covered up. does npc sell underwears?

6: how do i zoom in/zoom out the camera while rotating the camera view? i like to rotate my camera around and zoom in zoom out at the same time... i cant seems to do it with this game.

7: is this game still populated? is this game still healthy? every game review i see it always have high rating! like 10 out of 10! 9 out of 10! is this game still have alot of players? or am i too late to join?

8: i got x2 4400+, three gig ram, x850xt and vista. i got high frame rates like 50 -60 at maximum setting. and with smoothness no stutter or hiccups at all due to the power of three gig ram! anyhow i do feel like when i rotate my camera it feels like a hard heavy metal ball like when it roll.... it roll like ummm roll.... sorry complicate to describe. anyway guild war sis not the only game i feel like the hard metal ball rolling when rotating camera... other games i played too. is it due to vista?

9: did i do the right thing? i won age of conan at ebay.... but i also want to buy guild wars factions just for the hot looking babes, the assassin and ritualist on the box set cover and just want to check out the game. so i decided to tell the seller that i no longger want age of conan and apologize to him and told him to give me negative feedback. also someone jus gave me a buddy key of ag eof conan so i really no longer need to waste big cash on something i am not 100% staying with it and it have monthly fee... if i dont like it... it would be a waste of big cash since it is only playable through monthly payment. so what you think of my deciding? i ditch age of conan and go for guild wars.

10: which visual card play better on guild wars? 7900 GTX OC or X1950 XTX?

11: can we toggle from shader model 2.0 to shader model 3.0? does this game have shader model 3.0 version at all?

12: is there a nude skin/mod? and is it legal?

13: is there 1on1 duel?

14: i dont see any mounts in screenshots.... no mounts right?

15: i dislike wow and everquest2 damage impact especially everquest2... you dont feel a thing when you attack something.... it has no sound of impact at all... its like you slicing through wind rather than an object or a mob when doing normal default attacks. guild wars attacks impact is alot better. anyhow u think it will be awesome if guild wars have the damage impact and sound of impact like lineage2/aion/mabinogi/reignofrevolution/ragnarok2/requiem/talisman/devilmaycry/ninjagaiden/omnimusha/dynastywarriors/tekken/soulcalibur/tenchu/nanobreaker and beowulfthegame?

16: does archers have unlimited arrows like last chaos? personally mmos archer class should have unlimited arrows cuz its their class and they specialize on arrows no need for them to purchase something they are classed of.

17: will guild wars 2 have full voice dialogue like titanquest/everquest2? i am llazy to read plus full voice dialogue adds depth and life to the game atmosphere.

18: will guild wars 2 base on dx10? i am planning to get either 7900gtx or x1950xtx for a long time to keep and it dont have dx10. want to know if guild wars will base on dx10 or not so that i can have plans for my visual card.

19: i have factions..... does it keep your progress and import to guild wars 2? or only eye of the north can do that?

20: doe sthis board have a poll?

21: say if you create a name with "haha" then you delete the character... and make another character... can you still put the name "haha" again? some mmos dont. was wondering if guild wars can.... so i can be caution of putting the names i really like to a testing character.

22: i see the assassin on the box set of factions cover.... she has blue hair.... why i dont see blue hair in the game on character creation?

23: you cant put name "wendy haha" for both pve and pvp character? pve and pvp characters are individual?

1) you can just look in pvp outposts, or ask your friends/guildies/alliance members to come with you.

2) There are voice dialogues, mouths don't move in factions and prophecies. If you can't hear any, make sure to check your sound options.

3) crits make a sharp sound, like two blades are clashing into eachother.

4) no no

5) no (an you aren't supposed to walk around in your underwear all time ;P)

6) I"m not sure about this one, but maybe you can bind zooming to another key in your control options.

7) It's still populated. In fact, it's still the 2nd most populated online RPG in the xfire statistics. (edit: oh, silkroad has some improvements on the list I see, but guild wars still is a killer game).

8) don't get it.. maybe try updating graphics drivers?

10) both can easily run GW flawless on max settings, so it's up to you, try comparing them using benchmarks if you want to know which one is better. But both run GW.

11) not sure about that one, but the extreme shaders from the NVIDIA 7 series make snow ultra bright.

12) well there is something like texmod. But if you want nude, dont play guild wars, visit webpages instead...

13) you can ask guildies/alliance members/friends into 1v1 scrimmages in guild halls. And there is something like Hero Battles, which is 1vs1 with heroes running around you.

16) unlimited arrows, all ranged weapons have unlimited 'ammo'

17) idk, just follow GW2 dev talk.

18) GW2 will run on DX9 and probably on DX10 aswell

1) You can start PvP right away by creating a PvP only char in the character creation process.

12) Haven't looked for one, and yes it would be legal since texmod is legal.

13) Yes, 1 on 1 duel can be arranged in Guild Halls.

22) because that assassin is a NPC in the game, i think it's because they don't want players to make a dupe of an NPC

Answer. Find a build that you think is good. Go to Random Arenas on Battle Isle (From Great Temple of Balthazar) Or Team Areans with friends or guildies/ alliance mates. Or AB.

A) NPC's only in EoTN (eye of the north) have the voice dialogue. But its very minimal. But during cutscense you character have voice dialogue

3: when land a crit.... does it have unique sound?
A) No. But if your an assassin you will see a purple (most likely) +1 meaning you crit.

4: does shield have block rate? if so.. does it have unique sound when blocked?
A) Shield block rate... ya I dont know that. But you will see you don't take damage or less damage from an attack.

A) NPC's don't sell underwear. And they don't need to. If you mean armor then yes NPC's do sell armor.

A) 2,000 ppl per district and there are 3-7 districts in most places

A) It looks like your attacking the mob. So yes.

A) Rangers have unlimited arrows.

A) Ventrillo. And we don't know that yet.

A) We don't know much about GW2 yet.

A) EoTN has the hall of monuments which keeps your records of things. (titles, elite armor, Certain Weapons, Mini pets, Heros)

A) You have to have a two word name. But yes you can make the name "haha" delete it and then remake a different character "haha"

A) Um... its the box. Doesn't mean its in the game.
