Title says it all, give people without a guild the option to have a tag after their name. Everyday without fail i get pmed by people wanting to know if id like to join their guild. At first i would politely say no, but for some reason people are now not taking this. One guy told me i should join his guild because i look like a noob without a tag, great reason to join his guild.

Plus the fact that along with being pmed by people im randomly sent invites to random guilds, its starting to grate.

Just an option with anyone really would be quite nice, and would stop me saying some of the things ive said to people.

It's good and bad.

Faking having a tag just to not get pm'd seems kinda meh..
But at the same time it's great since you don't get spammed with invite's/random Pm's by morons. So I can't quite decide...

I run into the same problem, but a simple "nty" usually takes care of most of the pm's. I've had a few "oh come on!"'s, but nothing like "you look like a noob".

You can make your tag [NTY] or [FOFF], then when someone you've never spoken to asks you to join their guild you can tell them to read your tag for your reply.

and as much as id love to make a guild, pressing the 'g' tab would just make me feel lonely :/

So you want aNet to spend time to implement a new feature because your g-menu might make you feel lonely?

I think it's a complete and total waste. You already have two options to solve your problems - join a guild or make your own.

I created my own guild in June of 2005 just so people would leave my wife and I alone. I have had a few members but I always tell them I solo most of the time and I don't organize anything. I also tell them they are free to go and come as they please and there will be no hard feelings.

I also recommend a fully stocked guild hall, great place to setup, merch, see what skills you need to unlock, check prices, etc... and you don't have to deal with rude people in outpost that pm you wanting you to join their party for the mission.

There's really no reason to have a tag if you don't have a guild. Not to offend, but it sounds to me like you're just throwing out excuses to complain.

Just make a guild, or join a guild. Being in a guild (even an empty one) isn't THAT bad. If having random people send you invites is really as agonizing as you make it out to be, it's worth the 100g.

If anything, Anet should let us customize our own capes (with or without a guild). My guild's cape sucks ass.

well guild tags show up [name]
perhaps non guild title shows up {name} and u only allowed to show one
and u have to earn your own title but u can choose from different factions for example

barrett lockheart{asuran}

barrett lockheart{vabbian}

but is there that many factions in the story your always 100% freindly with
and what can be made that u must do to earn these titles?
