Ok, so I got some the other day.. But I cant use it.. I've tried dragging it, double clicking it.. Can only certain hero's be upgraded? Or is there a certain way to apply it?

you must take them to the hero armor guy....they cant be used like regular armor.
from wiki:

The appearance of hero armor can be upgraded with Primeval Armor Remnants. Take them to Armorsmith of Whispers in Gate of Anguish.
