I Hope this is the right place to post in.

For a year now I've been bored of Guild Wars. I felt like the game has lost it's magic, it just didn't feel like the enjoyment of the first two years. Don't worry though this ain't no nostalgia thread.

As I've witnessed people to move away to farming and other repetitive and somewhat pointless (for me, I never could stand the act of farming), and me dwindling between waiting hopelessly for some miracle that will renew my interest in the game.

I feel like before I leave the franchise forever (Well, maybe GW2 will do things right), I should make the most enjoyment from the 3 campaigns and expansion I have bought (and sadly didn't finish).

So I had the idea, for a final act play the entire game, not rushing to get armor, not getting to 20 as fast as I can for a farming character, just the good old "Playing", going through the storyline doing missions and quests, for FUN. No wiki, no special builds to maximize efficiency, just playing like I did when I first started and had no clue about anything (Ignorance Is A Bliss).

But, I can't do it with henchmen and heroes, this is after all, an online game. And because I want to relive the experience of my "newbiness" to whatever extent possible.

So, I suppose the best way to find people is through the forums. I'm looking for 7 other people, that feel somewhat the same and want to join me. Basically, we create a new character just for the purpose of this, and we meet together and slowly advance in the campaign together for pure enjoyment of socializing and such.

Now I'm looking for mature people (mostly in behavior), that can clear up a few nights each week for the purpose above (no need to rush). I'll prefer to create a group of the same people each week, to tighten the bonds of fellowship hehe. The guidelines will be finalized once such group is formed, By guidelines I mean things such wiki use, do we use gimmicks and such (preferably no), how many campaigns and whatever else needs to be discussed.

So, If your interested, post here, with your IGN if you wish, this is the place to discuss the idea and such, I'd be happy to hear the responses, and I hope this will take off as it bothers my soul every time I look at my GW:P box.

P.S
I'm sorry for the long scroll and I hope this has been an interesting read.
Also, English isn't my first language so I'm sorry for any grammatical errors .

few questions:

1. what campaign?
2. what chara are you planning on playing and do you want any specific classes with you?
3. 8 people? so basicly 2 would need to wait for ever to play if we play prophecies

2. What character will I play? hmm, well my main was a ranger, and I have a character from almost every profession, but I don't really care for the profession, maybe a mesmer, maybe a ritualist, doesn't matter. I am planning that everyone will start from a scratch as I think it enlarges the fun. Other classes with me is up to the people that wish to join, but we should aspire to a balanced group.

3. Yeah, well I am aware of that problem. But eventually there are parts in prophecy that are 8 people, and you could do them when lets say not all eight are on. Also you dont have to start in the prophecies campaign, although it is the most retro

I've actually been wanting to do the same thing for a long time. I can probably play for a few hours a night but since I take care of my bro a lot it can interfer(I usually play after his bed time though.) I rarly go afk during a quest/mission(only if he's hurt, otherwise he just comes to my room.) wcs he just watchs me play(oddly enough he seems to enjoy it lol). Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

edit: My ign is Laughing Bat but I don't get on very much these days because h/h'ing has gotten kinda boring and its hard to find a fun group to play with(too much arguing in pugs since nightfall came out.)

That's great, I was kinda loosing hope in the idea since the pugs forum gets much less coverage, but it's nice to see people are still interested.
I too am extremely tired of h/h and pugs that just go for profit instead of actually trying to relax and have fun (in my opinion).
Since I have done the gw content before, my main aim is just doing it again but this time focusing on the social part and undergoing it with fun people from the start, sort of a new beginning.

are my two ign's. And if you get 8 people you could do pairs of 2 in ascalon, two groups (4/4) in early Proph, the 6 man areas could be 3/3 or if someone happens to be busy/not online.
