This is the last mission I need for Elonian Guardian, yet I can't beat it. The second group you face after freeing Kormir (After killing the group that just spawns out of nowhere), the one where a decent amount of Kournans just rush in, ending up with double aggro, and impossible to pull seperately (if a longbow at the top of the stairs doesn't work, I don't know what will).

It doesn't help that I'm doing H/H, since my guild is oddly silent whenever I mention that. Then again, there is generally an almost selective ignorance of what I might say. At times people would respond to a question, and the next moment, completely ignore another one (or simply ignore to begin with).

All of that aside, I've no one to do this with, so I'm stuck with my heroes and henchies (who incidentally got a nice nerf to their AI). Luckily, I have all of the heroes but Goren (long story), and I have the vast majority of skills unlocked across all professions (having 9 characters does play a role in that), and a good knowledge of builds... At least, I know when I'm looking at a bad one. Problem is, I don't know which ones to use, which ones work best.

On a last note, I'm an elementalist, I have all but a few of the elites of my profession, as well as most normal skills (of my profession, once more).

My IGN is Lord Denerynn.

This is possible with H/H, believe it or not. Though I can't speak for your guildies, maybe they don't mean to ignore you, I always miss messages when I am fighting or otherwise engaged....

(On a side note, if you feel the "synergy" of you and your guild is lacking something, maybe the search for another one is in order...)

Take a look at the tips here: Pogahn Passage

(Be sure to look at the tip that says to give the guard the wrong password, that will avoid the first pop-up spawn and still give credit for the bonus)

Bring a healer hero, Magrid (of course) and some variety of Minion Master.
As for henchmen, I'd bring both monks (to be sure that Kormir stays alive) and Herta, her wards come in handy. Cynn is ok for some more nuking, but really that last henchman can be your choice.
Don't panic as those 2 groups converge on the stairs. Your party has an excellent raised vantage point and a small area.

And since I play an ele also, my favorite nuker combo for such a tightly packed group is deep freeze + savannah heat. (you don't need a lot of points in water magic for deep freeze).

Magrid should be set up as an interrupt ranger with Broad Head Arrow or some kind of dazing. (this will help shut down the monks)

If you need help, I'm willing to give it a whirl with ya.

The hardest bit about this mission is the massive group that you face when you come into the small area down the stairs. Heres what makes it simple: hang back and half of them come up to you (they walk up to halfway down that bridge or whatever it is, at least). Knowing this, the mission is really quite easy.

Marty is right, a mob will start up the stairs if you wait a few seconds, and that will split them up. It helps if you have broad head arrow or something to daze the priests, and the scribes can do a lot of aoe dmg to your group especially if you are all h/h. The end boss and mob can wipe you really easily and they come around a corner that makes it tricky to attack the backline. it took a friend helping me to finish this one but i hear its doable solo h/h. that's all i can remember i hope it helps.

Yes, this group was my sole stumbling block for Pogahn. My eventual tactic was to try to keep all physicals blinded and weakened, whilst we spiked off the Priests with their insane Zealous Benediction. I think I took Margrid as Broad Head Arrow ranger, but these days I would take an Air Ele (in addition to BHA) with Thunderclap, the daze from which should hinder multiple casters, whilst the longer lasting daze from BHA allows us to take out the target.

I think I went with a second human and 6 heroes. Took a Human Blindbot Ele, BHA Ranger, Minion Bomber, Hybrid Monk, Human SS, Monk, Hybrid Splinter-Resto Rit and an Earth KD Ward Ele.

Problem with SS (and other hexes of course) is that is gets easily stripped by Convert Hexes unless you manage to interrupt it under Daze.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it's much appreciated.

That's actually a very useful piece of information, Marty, I didn't know that. I'll keep trying, and I'll keep you posted.
