HM chests vs. NM chests

My question is do you think HM chests have a significant higher chance of yielding a gold item?

I've ran chests extensively in NM and i've noticed that no matter where you go in NM, the gold-to-purple drop rate is around 1:4. So out of every 4 chests you hit, you will get 1 gold and 3 purple.

What do you think the HM gold-to-purple drop rate is?

my is really bad....I dont normally open nm chests...only hm ones (with the lock pick that breaks 99/100 times )...and my luck is for every 3 grapes I will get one gold...(have yet to see those mysterious elite tomes either)...

I agree on the 1:4 ratio for NM and I believe the ratio for HM is between 2:3 and 2:4 to me.

I'm one of the top chest runners on GWG (you can check out my thread in Ventari>Giveaways). Generally I notice in HM that chests yield between a 2:1 and 5:2 ratio in favor of gold items.

HM definately provides more golds, but it also depends on the area of the game.
GW:EN chests in particular are well known for giving really bad purple/gold ratios in NM (like... 1 to 8) and only slightly improved in HM.
