In Cof you need to do quest then turn in Exquisite Surmia Carving to get your reward sometimes people forget there Carvings is it a scam for someone to sell it to you for 1.5k will it work. It was my understanding that you had to do the quest and pick up your carvings or you cant get the reward evern if someone gives you a carving and you just did it and forgot so what is it.

2 things you need to collect the quest, the carving and having killed the end boss of COF.

So in a way selling the carving is some type of scam as its targetting players not knowing about this.

you have to kill a specific mob as well, so selling the carving is a scam to my knowledge.

As answered by the other poster it is possible that it is a scam, but also possible that someone could actually use the purchase.

For example: If you complete the dungeon and kill the boss, but crash before you loot the carving and cannot reconnect in time thus ending up back in the outpost but with a completed quest. You could technically buy the carving and turn it in for the reward.

So is it a scam? Yes, and no.

Kumu Honua you got it right sorry for my poor english, the (No) part was what happened, person forgot to pick up the carving but did the quest.
I had that happen to me and I couldnt use the carving someone gave me one time, So i accused someone of scamming and warned people they needed to do the quest. Which is right but they also need the carving and if they dont pick them up they cant get the reward, But it seems i was wrong that you can buy a carving from someone if you forgot to pick up the carving after you finished. It would be a scam if he doesnt advise them that they had to have just done the quest and not taken it again, and had forgotten to pick up the carvings.

Its probably not meant to be a scam since the guy probably doesn't know you have to complete the dungeon anyways. You should just tell him
