Hostile option for GH...
sterbenx2
I thought it would be a fun an interesting idea to have an option, perhaps a toggle button, for making you char hostile or non-hostile in your guild hall.
I think this could lead to some very fun times, especially during guild events.
Turning hostile means that guild members (any that are set to hostile) can attack each other. NO exp or faction for kills, of course. Won't be counted as a "true" death either. Others members, that are set to non-hostile, can simply watch or carry on about their play normally. Thoughts?

Yeah, I wanna put Pain Inverter on my guildies once.

but scrim is a bit different. you have to get guildies to scrim with you, this way, you click a button and go homicidal.

tbh i thought this was how scrimmage was gonna work, but unless u've got about 20+ people rdy to scrimmage, its a complete waste of time. There is nowhere for 2 friends to have a 1v1 fight or anythin with eachother, and thats just a shame
chfanfiction
Sounds fun. I would really love the chance to kill my guildies in the hall, so long as they were immediately resurrected.

QFT, This is the kind of fun I'm talking about. lol. Fireballs flying around.. meteor showers raining off in the distance. .
Not to mention, it could also be used as a way to test your new build against a specific class or build.

This isn't what we have Scrimmage for, It was clearly meant for gvg practice Imo.

There has been a decent Sardelac suggestion.

Anywho.. gang, they gave us scrimmage for a reason. The only thing that sucks about it is the countdown timer. I think what the original poster is after is: he wants to sucker-punch his guildies while they are looking in their storage box.

I don't wanna sucker punch anybody.. you have to SET TO HOSTILE before anybody can attack.. anyway.
Thinking about it. This wouldn't even be that hard to impliment. There are NPCs that change to hostile and back all over the game.

Aye would be some fun, this game is seriously lacking open ended pvp

Heh, why not? Could be fun, especially if these deaths don't count. Could easily practice individual stuff without typical "scrimmage". I'm thinking something like the Lineage 2 duel system mixed with Diablo2-like hostile/non-hostile part. Just that unlike D2, you need the other's permission to kick their butt.

We have scrimming, which is exactly the same as what you are saying. PvP, in a guild hall. Secondly, I don't want people annoying me while I'm in my GH saying FIGHT ME NOOB /hostile while I'm minding my own business. Yes I know I have to consent with /hostile, but really, this is why we scrim.

I can't see anybody saying "fight me noob." That sounds more a guild member problem than an actual concern.
MithranArkanere
If deaths there do not count, I won't mind, but remember that you can attack only in battle areas like explorables and arenas. So an explorable version for the the guild hall, or make this work in the scrimmage version of the guild hall.
Kanyatta
So, the "Hostile" system from D2? I didn't really like it in D2, I don't think I'd like it a whole lot in GW. Scrimmage should suffice to the point where this isn't really needed.

Just for fun. It's a nice alternative to scrimmages IMO.
