Looking for expert advice

My account has been stolen, I will say all that happened. I was at a friend's house who was begging for something I had and somehow my password was typed in the login part and I didn't need him getting on my account for any reason though I doubt he would have, so I changed my password to something else and went I got home I tried to remember it, but I couldn't. SO I hit the forgot password button and it was sent to EMAIL REMOVED. Here is where the problem happened. I was a verizon user by then and I tried to get my password back from support, but I couldn't for one reason. I didn't have the Prophecies key, someone gave me their account and if I tell them that, then they will get mad at me. So I told them I had thrown it out by accident and no way could I get it again, but ncsoft wasn't willing to help without it. I finally figured out about the 90 day thing, but this is a year later, it's to late to retrive it. I have no options left. When I did talk to comcast, SOMEONE HAD THAT EMAIL ADDRESS. I know it was dumb to post it up there, someone could have stolen my account, or someone could have gotten it without knowing. I am going to try and get ncsoft to help me, but without the Prophecies key they might not help me, and now I don't know where the other two are. I am in a corner right now I don't like it has been almost a year and I want to play Guild Wars without finding out I wasted 100 dollars and now 250 (I don't care about the price going down)to get them all again. Does anyone have any advice?

From what I read, you forgot a password, and logged in at an untrustworthy friend's house--this gives no reason for you to press NC as it is financially/legally not their problem. My suggestion to you: forget about it, because there's not much you can do at this point.

Guess I have no other choice really, made a mistake and someone just got extremely lucky. I apologize about the spam idea, I just have no other options really.

the only thing you can really do is get a new account and start over.

so you where worried about your friend ,maybe he had a key logger and you changed your password ,soo you think ur friend might be able to help just in case he was trying to steal ur account if he did had any type of software like most parental software have like a key recorder that saves all the information that was typed on that computer but if its over a year ago id say ur pretty much effed up, or if you ever registered your account on the plaync's web site you should be able to get your key i think, havent been there in a while,or why dont you get the new package will be going out on september all 3 campaing's + eotn and a new hero :P ,hope this help's a lil

I'll just do the easiest solution there is, according to gamespot (not sure how accurate)Guild Wars 2 is suppose to be released this year, it would just be eaiser if I did that instead of buying all the games again.

GW2 is coming out within the year, and I find Guild Wars to be horrible now...all those nerfs and ectos at <4k each...I can't farm anything worthwhile and PvP is just too easy (for my uber builds at least)

Just wait for GW2. If you want to play computer, buy some other game to fill your time while you wait for GW2. I would personally recommend Warcraft III as you can get it and expansion for $40 and online gameplay is GREAT!

I'd contact ANet anyway. Tell them that the account was a gift or something. At least fix it so the account is banned and nobody else can use it.

FTMFL. You sound so arrogant, nobody cares or wants an English lesson on an online game forum, get out or go to a literature forum and using abbreviations is contradictory.

Tools aside, as far im aware you can change your pw without having the original cd key. I have a friend who wanted to change his pw but didnt have any keys. He told me he sent a email to anet saying he thought some1 had been on his account and wanted to change his pw and apparently they sorted it out.
