About fame and hero title

This is really stupid and shouldnt be the way it is.
I recently found interest in HA and been to a whole bunch of fights.
Out of all those times i were in just 2 decent groups that actually beat the damn zaishen in less than 349089 minutes.
And thats only because one guild decided to give me a chance and i unbelievebly got into a good PuG team.
As a new guy with rank1 hero and 1g i cant:
1.Get a decent group
2.Get a decent guild
3.Get any fame to be able to do #1 and #2
The only time i had a chance to get into a good guild with my status was sadly when the leader wanted a shitload of zkeys for a bribe.
How am i supposed to get anywhere as a begginer?
And pleeeeaaase dont tell me to randomway because its shit to get 1 point of fame every 50 hours when the other team messes up so bad they lose to randomway.
Its just a damn dead end :/
So the question all this rant is about is
How can a newcomer to PvP like me is supposed to get any fame/title/guild/decent group ?

There's alot of threads about this, most people will start with some kind of gimmick that is easy to get a team for.

And I hear [KiSu] is a nice guild for new pvp'ers they teach the basics etc. don't have the link though sorry.

and lol @ guild leaders wanting bribes..you don't wanna be in a guild with guys like that

It's tough, it really is, You have to be super lucky and find a guild/alliance that doesn't care about rank. I have 2 fame atm and yet they will let me Ha whenever they need someone.

yea, u have to search for guilds or pugs that doesn't care aout rank and aren't randomway :P
or u can wait for a ha weekend u can get a lot of points very easy in it and get r3

Same problem. Eventually you will just find that guild groups do the best. Eventually they will know that you are good (or bad) and will either make sure you go on every run. Or kick you from guild.

No your not. As far as high ranked people go, they dont go with low ranked people because

A) Youve no idea what to do, what map stratergies are, when to do something/when not to do something
B) You think you do

They go with higher ranked people only because

A) They have an idea what to do, what map stratergies are, when to do something/when not to do something
B) They actually DO know this stuff

I do know what to do i agree i dont know 100% what to do in every place but atleast i have enough brains to listen in vent.
I dont mess up often even on my first tries and how can i get better if i dont get the chance to?...

I thought KiSu was more geared towards GvG? At least that's what their description implies.

People have complained about Fame being "broken" forever.

Most people agree with you. The problem with Fame is that you can't lose it. If it was an actually ranking (like in HB or GvGs) people who are actually sucessful would have high fame, while people who are less successful but grind more in HA would have less.

It is crap and HUGE FAIL. This should be a great area of play but it is Crap crap crap crap.

My advice, wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out and by the "Prerelease" and then spend 26 hours a day playing it and then don't take anyone in your group that is one rank below you. Run around calling everyone NOBBS and flame them all you can.

Oh wait.. that is guild wars 1..never mind
