Solo Monk Dungeons/UW?

I haven't played in a while (6+ months) but I really would like to solo again. I have two questions:

1) Is it still possible to solo farm the UW effectively with the 55-Monk build?

2) Are there any good EoTN dungeons that can be effectively solo farmed with the 55-Monk build?

I appreciate any help!

Alot has changed in 6 months so you might want to take a look at some duo 600/smite builds at pvxwiki.com A hero monk works very well as the smite monk in uw fow and a few dungeons with slight tweaks to the build for each area. 55 duo builds are also available.

i think he was asking for solo builds im pretty sure the build for 55 with zealot's fire still works in the UW, but frankly it's become replaced by safer, faster builds (like the solo Shadow Form sin). dungeons are pretty much anti-55hp, cause most of them carry some form of life stealing or daze infliction. Your best bet is, as suggested by FleshLust, is to check out pvx, and maybe give duoing a try.. Or do what most of the demoralised 55hp farmers have done: make a sin xD

To OP, 600/Smite is much safer in the underworld than 55hp solo so even though it isn't a solo as you asked for it may be a good idea for you to try that.

I was in the same position as the OP a few weeks ago. Id been out of the game for ages and found when I came back that alot had changed.

Since being back I 600/Smite COF and Naphui Quarter HM, I 55 monked the First City HM which isn't all that profitable to be honest.

I then took me Ele out to farm Spectral Vaettirs in HM. Gotta be the easiest to run to a farm I've ever done. And lots o gold drops and mesmer tomes too.

I tried Raptor Farming and Destroyer Core Farming HM with me ele too. Both of them are easy peasy.

Unfortunately, I never made a sin and all I kept hearing about since coming back was Perma Sin this and Perma Sin that. So I made one, rushed him to Kaineng, then over to Prophecies, got a run to the desert, and did all the missions and ascended him there too. Didn't take long at all.

Once you get used to farming UW with a Perma Sin, it really is incredibly easy compared to how it was with a 55 monk. Not only do they make farming easy, they make running easy too. I can't believe Shadowform hasn't been nerfed yet.

Well, that's been my experience since coming back to GW.

Oh, and one more thing. Someone gave me a 55 build for Oola's Lab the other day. Haven't tried it out yet cos it has two Norn skills on the skill bar and I haven't got em yet but I can't wait to try it ;-P

lol. didn't wanna post it cos it could be a load o shite ;-P

And ummm....I dunno how to post the builds like you peeps do with pics of the skills and all that. We didn't have all that in my day does see.

I'll just post the code

[build;OwQUQ4W+QYRqQgE1Dxk0k6DiEyDA]

Spoil Victor
Healing Breeze
Protective Spirit
Finish Him
I am unstoppable
Essence Bond
Mending
Balth Spirit

Divine Favour: 5
Protection Prayers 8
Healing Prayers 9
Blood Magic 12

He reckoned the best way was to get your Sin hero to run to the dungeon using the shadowform running build.

Looking at it now you might be better going 55 necro but I haven't played my necro for quite some time. Haven't even got her through Nightfall, never mind Eye o the North.

EDITED by Marty Silverblade: Just put the skill template codes in like this: (<build name>;<code>), just use square brackets instead.
