While in vent, whenever i use my mic Evryone complains that they can hear themselves echoing and then can hear whatever i have running on my background(music MSN beeps w/e anything). I AM having a headset on, so there is no way the sound comes in via my mic. Something else it wrong, and i cant find it. Any suggestions what this could be?

This is software related, i have this with every microphone.

Thx in advance.

If you're running Windows XP:
  1. Start->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices
  2. Audio tab
  3. Choose the "Volume" button under the "Sound playback" section
  4. A new box should have opened. Look for the column labeled "Microphone" and you will see a volume slider and a little radio box with the word "Mute" beside it. Click on this little box to put a check into it.
  5. In the same window, at the the top left hand side, click Options. Here you will see a choice for Recording. Choose this in the sub-box ensure that "WhatUhear" and "Microphone" are selected and then click "OK".
  6. In this volume panel, find Microphone and place a check-mark into the "Select" box.

Click "OK" on the remaining windows and your problem should be solved.
