r7 bows

Quick question -

Have any of you heard of/seen r7 max gold bows?

I know Swords exist, and apparently axes as well, and shields do, but I have not heard of any bows.

I'm sure there is one out there on someones account who doesn't play anymore.

Not sure, but probably (though incredibly rare). I got a gold (non-max) r7 spear about 6 months ago, so chances are any weapon can drop as a r7.

r7 drops are possible for all weapons, offhands and shields, but they are EXTREMELY rare (especially gold weapons)

No R7 Gold, Max Damage and Max Modded Bows. End of story. You can try to prove me wrong, but you will fail.

Can you prove your own statement? No you can't there for your reasoning is garbage. Come back with better reasoning.


I am sure there are bows out there on accounts that have not been logged on in ages. It is possible to get r7 max everything as someone stated but the odds of it happening are slim to none.

I haven't seen any req 7 bows being traded.

I've seen a perfect r7 bow being sold once in the three years I've been playing, it was a Composite Bow skin.

They do exist, or at least did at one time. Anyone who had one was lucky as a lotto winner, and anyone that still does is even more lucky.

Yeah, it exists, but I'm sure it's quite rare, just like a perfect mod, except even rarer than that. Notice how the r12 bows and other weapons are common, as they want to make it harder to deal good damage with a weapon you just find instead of one that you get from a boss (which in most cases is harder), or something like that...

But, it was a gold r7, and the only thing that made it not a "perfect" spear was the inscription was only a +14% "strength & honor". And since the question was about gold max weapons...

I don't farm, so I don't know, but isn't it rare (or incredibly rare) to get a r7 gold drop? (Even if its not max?)

R7 is more rare on a non max gold then say a blue non max, but, an R7 for a non max weapon has a pretty good chance. As a non max weapon would be used by a lower level character that can't quite put 9, 10, 11 attributes points in at that point in the game.

Does that make any sense? That is the best I can explain it

LOL - thanks, I appreciate the information. I know that it can drop fairly easily on a white weapon drop. But, so far, after 2 years of play, this was the first (and so far only) r7 gold I've found. I was all excited about it because it was my understanding that gold r7's were incredibly rare. Then someone told me that its only max gold r7's that are extremely rare, and I wasn't sure if mine was or not. It looks to be, aside from the inscription, which can be changed of course to a perfect mod.

Anyhow, I was just trying to let the OP know that - theoretically - a r7 gold max bow is possible, even if highly unlikely.

Are you saying you have a max inscribable r7 bow?

Let me put it this way.
Considering that there are R7 items of various items surgests that there must have been R7 gold max bows around.
However, the chance of anyone finding one and posting a picture are very limited.
A couple of months ago a legendary sword dropped from an dungeon chest for a guildie of mine.
I asked what req it was and the reply: "dunno, salvaged it because it had a high-salvage mod on it". I think 95% of the GW players do the same.
They will either salvage or merch the item.

One question on this.
Does 'max' mean the item must have perfect mods or are we just talking max damage?

I've seen no evidence of the bows, nor have any names of possible owners, past or present been mentioned.

I'm talking about a gold lettered, max-damage, Requirement 7 bow. I don't care about non-max golds, or other items. Hell, I don't even care about if it has a damage modifier on it.

I don't care about speculation, either. Sorry to sound rude but pretty much none of the answers thus far have been helpful, except for Savio's statements.

Does anyone have evidence or verifiable reference to an r7 max gold bow? I've had some very rare items pass through my hands, and I've seen and heard of many more rare items, but I've never heard of a max r7 bow
