ok, skimmed through this whole thing and no one said what WOTC is. If I have to ask, you know it's not a very well known or played game.

Just because you, a single person in a world of billions, hasn't heard of a game, doesn't mean it's not well known. It's like saying you've never heard of (insert something well known here), so it's not well known. That is unless you're the person assigned to tell people what's well known or not, which you are not.

GL to you Mike!

Looks like ArenaNet is playing muscial chairs over there. First Gaile switches to a new position, then Andrew, then we get Regina and now Mike leaves. I wonder who is next lol. I never knew Mike Gillis but I wish him the best of luck.

Being the all knowing God of Gamers the fact that you do not know of them (or I suppose their games) means no RPG player has ever heard - or even *gasp* played them.
Er, or maybe that is like being confused what "GW" means on this board.

Shouldn't this news-necrophilia / MtG-bashing thread be moved to off topic or get closed?

Not too disappointing to me. I didn't have such a great experience dealing with him.

Reading this thread makes me so glad I got out of M:TG when it was still a fun to play game. That was 10 years ago.

Must be personal preference...I left when WOTC was pumping out expansions every other month, the card pool got so diluted, new gimmicks started coming out and the DC started affecting even my friendly games at the local comic shop by making their rules so hardcore that casual players felt required to adhere to them. It went, in my mind, from a good game to a competitor's sport where people play to win rather than have fun.

Man, he Finally left.
Thank God.
