I'd like to make of poll of this but can't find the option to do it.
1. I listen to the score while I play and would never want to give it up.
2. I sometimes listen but would like to keep it.
3. I sometimes listen but could live without it.
4. I always turn the music off and wish GW would spend it's time and money somewhere else.
I am wondering what people actually think about having a musical score or not and hope a moderator finds this and can change it into a poll. Thanks

Well, I don't get it...
This is about if the background music is worth the game?
Imo it definately is. The music is really good and fits the game, alltough I have the backgroundmusic muted and listen to WMP/VoIP while playing.
But with new chapters, the first few weeks, the sound is definately worth listening to. A fantasy game without background music isn't a fantasy game.

I always turn it off - but I'd like to keep it.
Not everyone can have such exquisite taste in music as I do ...

I have ALL the bonus music upgrades, including the battle pak, SF pack and CE-exclusive ones.
I listen to them while playing, and sometimes outside of the game.
And you all should get all the upgrades too. Most of the game it's not the same without the bonus music.
EotN is epic with the bonus music.

I listened to it at first but later on it got boring (since I only did the same thing in GW.. pvp lol so the music was kinda stale) after awhile but the music is good none the less.

I turn of the music because I prefer my own music.
Though, it fits the game really well, and I turn of my music in cutscenes.
The only thing I don't like is the noises the mobs make, over and over again.
But, guess that's a part of the game.

for your info, poll creation is in thread tools on the right hand side of the nav bar....
I always turn off my music these days. Winamp gets me through hours of computer time (which is not always GW related).

I mute GW completely when I play. After playing the game for 3 years I'm just about ready to harm myself whenever I hear Togo's voice, minipets crying in towns, or the same music track for the trillionth time.
More often than not I'll not even have any of my own music playing either, if I do it's usually something like Textures or Tesseract.

Well seeing as metal and rock music>GW music, I listen to the former.

I end up muting GW in order to hear the guild over TS. But if no one is on, it gets cranked back up.

Having a musical score is a good thing. I loved it for the first, oh I dunno, several hundred hours or more. After that, sometimes I'd listen to my own thing, and sometimes to the in-game music, mood depending. So if this is about them keeping a high quality of musical production, or not, then my vote is a definite yes, as is my vote for the slider to allow us to key it down from time to time to play our own music.
As an aside, I preferred it when one tune would play in a specific place, before they went and mixed it up.

I listened to it the first few weeks I was playing, then got bored with it. So, it's been off for a year now :P

To me, the music is too soft, even when I've got the volume all the way up.
However, listening to the music, on a personal basis, depends if I got TeamSpeak up and running. If I do, I can't hear the music, so it doesn't matter if it's up or not (I can't hear the music because everyone is too loud).

I love the music in GW and listen to it most of the time when I'm playing. However, certain times I do listen to music of my own choosing from various movies for better battle music and epicnessity.
Probably about a 1.25 on your vote there.

I keep the music on but i generally dont pay attention to it anyway. Especially when in combat (with the strange EotN battle music)

option 1 all the way!
I have all the music Jeremy Soule has written, some of his Prey stuff is great!

I usually have it on because I get too focused to play around with my music program; especially like the rather 'Wagnerian' track from GWEN... but I HAVE taken the time to set up my tunes more often since NF because I hate how the 'battle music' interrupts the score. Obviously it has to but....I'd prefer it wasn't there.
Lishy
I usually have it off except when playing EoTN.
With the exception of EoTN, where they finally did things right, the music in GW is unmemorable, unfitting, repetitive, and just plain aren't good.

I always have the sound on low, just to hear things being cast. Plus I like to hear female assasins die when I kill them PVP. But I also have winamp in the background with tunes as well, always have both

Mark me down as #2. It's pretty good stuff, especially in Nightfall. Just wish the amazing ambient tracks weren't ruined by the frequent battle jams...

I love the music in Guild Wars. I hope Jeremy Soule is doing the music for Guild Wars 2 as well. You can tell that guy really put alot of work into the GW soundtracks.

I play just about every game with it's accompanied music the first time through.
I played through Prophecies and Factions with it but then got the idea, got bored of it and haven't listened to it since Factions release.
gg Winamp.

The battle music kills the fun. I would like an option to deactivate it.

Yes, it is all epic with the bonus music. So, why didn't they include it in the game in the first place?
Paks ... more nickel and dime mouse squeak that makes the game feel like a patchwork beta.

it would be quite peachy if the stupid Junundu's didn't have so much bass! I think is the only time what I shut down all sounds of GW
Elder III
When in an Explorable area I listen to all the generic GW music/sounds etc...
If I'm chilling in an Outpost or Town I may listen to some of my own stuff if I'm planning on being there for long.

1. I listen to the score while I play and would never want to give it up.
For me the music is an essential component to any good game. Fortunately GW has a great soundtrack.
