Another thing I like to do is after id-ing a bunch of gold items, I go into noobie towns and just whisper someone and ask them if they want free stuff. I honestly couldn't be bothered to waste time selling them. I will, however, keep a weapon mod if I happen to need it.
Still my all time favorite is to make a new character and play it for a couple weeks or so, then deleting it and starting a new character with a different profession. I like to learn different professions from new angles, and this is a fun way to do it.

The most fun I get is from doing the special areas during festivals. I'm looking forward to Costume Brawl this year, and I hope that they pay attention to any changes there may have been to certain skills.
When it's not a festival and I have plenty of time, I vanquish areas and farm reputation points to progress myself towards 30 maxed titles. If I don't have lots of time to dedicate, I push one of my lower-level characters through something. Those aren't my most fun experiences, but it helps to have some people to play alongside.

Flip side of WAR, it's in conjuction with Games Workshop and they have some problems, including but not limited to falling stock prices and their staff and vets hating them for price rising (understandable though).
