So when you delete a character, that character name is retained for that account for a specific period of time(AKA no one else can make a character with that name to take it).
I thought the time was one hour, but apparently I'm wrong. Does anyone know anything about this?

If the name is used as account name (registered at Tolkano) no one will be able to use it untill you replace it.

I deleted a character yesterday. The name is still tied to my account, and no one else can use the name. It's not the name I tied to Hero Battles either. If I try to add the name to my friend's list it says, "You cannot add yourself as a friend." Thus why I'm asking.

Why? It's either gonna say "Name is not is use" or "Cannot add yourself as a friend".
Were you doing it to test whether it was still tied to your account or not?
