R/b?
nidy
Hey, I've been perusing the High End forums and have seen people post a R/B as well as a B/O. What does R/B mean?

Reserve Bid.
Simply an excuse not to sell your item for a price you don't like/want. The most obvious solution would be to set your S/B in a R/B price, but people put instead a R/B when they see their item has some popularity (sp?) and then just put an incredibly high R/B 'cause they're greedy.
Or something like that.

There is the argument that setting reserves increases people posting offers, which keeps your thread bumped. Personally, the whole "hidden reserve" concept seems silly to me, and I don't use them. But the above is the only reason I've ever heard for having them on Ventari auctions that comes close to making sense.

auctions usually are races to see who can bleedy the most, a waste of time, really.

This isn't the place to discuss r/b, so closed.
