HoM by account?

Heya,

I was wondering if any1 knows how the hall of monuments works. Is it dependent on your account, meaning u only need to concentrate on one character and unlock as much stuff as u can for that one chracter's HoM. Or is it by character, meaning the more characters that u have unlocks for in their individual HoMs means u'll unlock more stuff for GW2.

Right now its Char. by Char., sometime in the near future they are going to update it to be account wide 1 account 1 hall instead of 1 account 6+ halls.

Eventually, there will be an update that allows you to toggle your HoM to see your character's achievements or your account's achievements.

As of now, there is very little information available as to the specifics of how this is going to work. All we can do is wait for more info.

At the moment HoM is based on characters. It's to my understanding however that this will change and you can choose to have it by account or by character.

What this unlocks and how much you can unlock in GW2 is currently unknown.

So that means that, for example, any weapons added to the HoM and thus costumized to the characters who added it, also become visible for all other chars? Does the same thing works with all the the other monuments (except armor), if I have Legendary Survivor on one char, all the others can still see the achivment?

Supposedly, but there's no way to be sure until the update happens.

Truthfully, no one knows how it will work. At some point in time, ArenaNet will make an update to Hall of Monuments to allow some or all of it to become account based. We DO NOT know what changes they intend to make.

When GW2 is released, in some manner, what is in your HoM(s) will give some type of benefit to your GW2 characters or account. We DO NOT know what benefit(s) will be given.

That is all anyone who does not work for ArenaNet knows. And if you work for them and spill the story in a forum you will very quickly be unemployed.

I wish they would give is some specific information on how this is going to work. What will be account based and what will not be account based. I mean what's the big secret we were told it was happining, just let us know so we can play accordingly. You don't have to put it into effect yet just give us the information. Thanks
