Tyria Vanquish with 600/Smite
Hermos
A guildie of mine said that he did the entire Tyrian Vanquish with just 600 smite - is this actually possible? He also said that the more difficult areas needed long-ranged help (such as an SS necro).
Which areas would be easiest to 600/smite and which would be the hardest? I'm thinking of doing the entire thing as a 600/smite now, because I'm quite sure it's possible to do because you'll have spellbreaker.

600 Smite + a QZ ranger + ranged support could probably do it, would take alot of micro. Anything with untargetted enchant removal would probably own you though, dunno if there is much of that in tyria though.
(QZ ranger to make sure that long mobs dont get the chance to kill you through SB)

It may be possible by bringing a full team of heroes & hench, and flagging them against enemies which shatter enchants while the 600 and smite stays out of range, and then using the 600 & smite against the enemies which don't... But frankly, doing that over all of tyria would be tedious and slow beyond belief.
If you want to do this as some sort of challenge, then by all means try, but any decent team build is likely to not only require much less micro-management, but be much faster at vanquishing.

Areas with Grawl Crones will own you do to Chilblains.
When fighting Ice Imps and Spell breaker runs out the multiple Maelstroms will either rape you or if your running Mantra of Resolve drain your energy and rape you. So my guess is that most areas that don't have the conditions above you can finished.
As for your friend saying he did all of Tyria I'd say check the sources and more then likely he's not telling the truth because there is nothing that can stop this [Chilblains]
Not sure bout this one but I believe this is use in Tyria a decent amount [Well of the Profane]

Also, from what I can recall, only the White Mantle has that Well, so focus on killing the Ritualists since the begginning and it shouldn't be a problem.
And if you care to bring a QZ ranger you will drain Imps energy in no time, then applying yourself the Visages will finish any they have left, so that shouldn't be a problem. Same goes for most monsters.
My guess is that yes, you can vq it all, pretty much like most of Elona. Not sure about Cantha though.

Problem will be mobs with more then 1 healer, because chances are u cant visage both, meaning that the wars will die before the monks and/or you wont get kills.

As Numa said Scarabs use that well and Chilblians is and has always been a nontarget enchantment removal. Foes in the area of your target. Anything that is Area of Effect can go thru things like SB and SF which is why lava font goes thru SF when more then one player is standing beside a terrerweb.
In Factions alot of plagueborn necros elite is this [Order of Apostasy] again with more work you could try to upkeep [Greater Conflagration].

For clarification, is he running Monk 600/smite or Rt600/smite?
(Hate how ppl assume 600/smite is always Monk 600 :P )

chilblains needs a target to even finish. If you're SB'd, and you can keep up SB full-time with arcane echo or a 20/20 offhand/enchant weapon if you're lucky, chilblains will never complete. There shouldn't be any allies around you if you're 600/smiting...it'll be just you in aggro. Long story short...any targeted enchant removal will fail. There is no non-targeted enchant removal other than well of the profane in tyria.

I've vanquish all of Crystal Desery and Shiver Peaks w/ 600/Smite. Only place where I had problem was in Dreadnougt's Drift and Lornar Pass where I encounter 2 Dolyak Masters and 1 Dolyak Rider where I tank for about 3 min to lower their energy and then use my H/H to nuke them while applying Pain Inverter at the same time.
The strategy is to use your H/H to damage one of the Dolyak Master/Rider and cast PI on the other one. Therefore, the enemies healing would be spread out and thus making it less effective.
Of the 26 area I've vanquish, I've used only the triple Necro in 3 areas; areas that allow a max of four team members only.
So, yes it's possible and I'm still doing it now. I've even used it in EoTN and NF too. I haven't started Faction yet, but I'm sure it's possible.
So far, I've played it as a Mo/Me and use Arcane Echo+Pain Inverter or MoResolve+Pain Inverter.
Gwen is my smiter and Tah is used for +7 Healing and BSpirit.
With this, I always have +7 on Health and +3(+1 from Succor) on energy.
Why this way? Easier to do instead of waiting for a team and a lot of times, I take a break every now and then and can come back whenever I want to.
