When i was doing LB/SS runs, someone said that the minions you get from the quest "a show of force", also take a part of the loot.

Is this true or BS?
Thx in advance .

They count as NPC allies not hench so I dont think they share your loot. Can anyone confirm?

That theory has been going around for a long time. I haven't noticed any difference in drops.

That being said, they die so quickly in HM once you start across the sulpherous wastes that there really isn't any point in grabbing them, anyway.

If they did then so would any mission NPC’s So I would say no they do not. Should be easy to test with Farming areas and keeping a log to get a drop percent.

Interesting theory unfortunately i am unable to test due to the fact that those allies die on the first mob

Well out allies still had some alive at the shrines...
@ Painbringer: the theory is that these specific minions count as henchys because you can choose to add or not add them.
@ Zidane: that linkage was complete useless since it holds no context towards this event.
@rothan: you might be able to test this if you let some add the minions and the person they follow stay back.

Show of force - its used as many will know as a keep quest for lb/ss farming and i never bother clicking on the npcs as you dont need to have them in party.
Ive always left them at extrance and gone killing and done the quest without them - they enjoy sitting around player poker an drinking beer i reckon lol.
Sometimes im cautious and if a quest has allies you need to select i often clear the area and if the quest isnt done i go back and click on them - saves the offchance of failing the quest because npc has died.

Yea, i know that you don't need to talk to the guy on start, because thats why i said that you can choose to bring them or not. I also never take them along but i'm to lazy to go H/H on an LB/SS run, and some people seem to find it necessairy to bring them along...
