I saw Regina after day 1, and this is no vacation; the whole ANet staff I saw looked bushed. They worked hard and it's only day 1! Heck I should have bought Regina a drink! (I was so busy running around in circles in a typical fit of "omg" that I pretty much forgot everything but talking to as many people as possible, heh, poor NCSoft people are probably like "dude give that girl some downers").

Yes, we managed to learn that Jeremy Soule will be returning to do Guild Wars 2's music.

They'll be posting a transcript on the X-Fire site soon...

Anyways, this is all I can remember:
-Content will take awhile but they have content for the next few months planned out. M.O.X. has been in the works since July and is just now coming out which is how long it takes because yeah, 1 dev 1 programmer 1 qa dedicated.
-Jeremy Soule doing music for GW2 (YESS)
-They call Izzy Izzy/Isaiah at work even though his name is Stephen.
-no Pre-Searing content planned.
-no other GW2 info planned at this time.
-HOM update not coming Sep (my note: Probably next month or the month after given how long its been planned, but that isn't official, just me. )
-There is a possibility of more reworked skills.
-GW Book/Movie/Figurines are "all talked about and wanted but they would have to be done right and have good quality." (not exact quote but eh.)
-She was late because a fan asked her to sign their trousers. (lol)
-PvE/PvP split skills are still going to be kept minimal.

Prolly more but that's the gist. Not much new info but fun none-the-less.

Regina also mentioned when talking about how long things take to plan or something like that, she mentioned HoM update being in the next few months (I don't remember the exact quote, but she either said that or hinted to it, best wait for the transcripts to confirm that)

oh and YAY @ Jeremy doing the music

She also mentioned that there aren't plans for any other in-game events this year other than Halloween and Wintersday. I managed to score the mini pet and the skillpin set, yay! <3

I didnt expect her to answer my question about Jeremy Soule doing the music so i was pleasantly suprised when she said yes.

Another thing i asked her was about possible new heroes for the professions that are missing the third - she said there are no plans but its always a possiblity.

Also MOX will be the "main" thing of September so dont expect anything big.

I attended the Talk on 3 years of guild wars today at PAX and the VIP party afterwards. I had a great time and got alot of stuff at the party. I remember in the talk that they announced that there will be 3 novels coming out that will explain what happens in the time period of about 250 years between guild wars 1 and guild wars 2. Other than that, no other news on guild wars 2. Trust me I asked they were very tight lipped on the subject.

If you haven't managed to find the link to the Xfire transcripts yet: http://www.xfire.com/blog/paxchats/313900/

Unfortunately, we were having wireless problems at the convention center, so there was a chunk of time when I wasn't connected to the chat room, during which the Xfire staff and PAX staff tried to get the router reset.

Someone on the thread asked about when the beta would be, and a couple people have suggested rough dates. We have no announced date or timeframe for the beta. Anything that isn't on the FAQ on the official website should be considered pure speculation.

I had quite a Threadless addiction at one point, but I'm trying to cut down. They're having a sale right now and I've done a great job of resisting so far. :-P

I feel bad for Regina who has so much information on GW2 but will lose her job if she exploits it XD
Arenanet. The only comparable company to Nintendo. Thats... A good thing

Personally I think a GW movie or book is a great idea and I wouldn't mind seeing the franchise expanded a bit where the faces of characters are more recognizable. If a movie is ever made, I expect it to look like what guild wars was intending to be: The kickass trailer :P
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=94_U8byqTBg

I still nerdgasm at the awesomeness of the trailer. Although I don't recall that setting in game, nor Jora using a sword.
Perhaps those growling things were beta charrs? And the horned monster with a mace was the lich lord? With rotscale being the dragons popping up at the end? And that infrastructure in the BG being part of the fire ring islands or underworld?
I've actually took on an interest in GW's beta content. Maybe Regina can tell us how far GW has come?
And the story behind Devona and Co.'s original intentions?

I did interviews with Regina and Chris Lye (Marketing Director) at PAX and will be posting one or both of them up this week. Regina was really great to talk to, even though she had a ton going on. One really cool thing was that there were a ton of devs and staff there from ArenaNet and all had volunteered to work the booth in order to meet and chat with fans.

I posted some pics and did a write-up from PAX over at my blog if anyone wants to take a look: http://teamlove.us/guildtracks/

I didn't expect to see GW fans at the gathering, so it was great to meet you. ^_^

I believe a transcript of the panel will be out soon. I don't have an ETA on that yet.

I submitted a ton of questions to the devs, but it was up to them to pick and choose which ones to answer.

Humm, Regina Buenaobra...

I find it interesting that you are a "community" Manager yet the Community can not really get a hold of you. I tried to send you a message but it is set to where you do not want to hear from the "community".

Are you here at our "Community', GWGU to look around or research us and what we are talking about?

Makes me VERY suspicious.

I to am involved with a "community" however I am 100% reachable. It seems as though there is some tension between you and the player for some reason, or that this is your "perception of reality".

My question is, "Why are you appearing to be "commmunity" minded and shut out the very community"?

I had to see where you last posted to try and contact you here on THIS forum. This is MY Community that I contribute to.

Just wondering. Makes me think that maybe you did not know that peeps could send you messages without posting in a forum like I am doing now.

C.

That said. I will tell you what I was going to pm you.

WELCOME!! Do not be a stranger. We love this game and we love what you have to offer us as a Community Leader! We look forward to a long partnership, that is We give you money and you give us GREAT GAME. Keep up the GREAT WORK! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!

Perhaps you should contact the Guru administrators and inqure about technical problems on the forum, because I have received and replied to numerous PMs through this site.

She is a community manager, not every single players personal liason to ArenaNet.

I'm told that we are planning on getting the video up, but it still needs to be edited and syched with the audio (which was on a separate track to the video).

I found the big video (1.7Go) on gamershell, which has quite fast servers, so for everyone to enjoy:
