Really dumb Wintersday question.

Hehe guys, I was wondering, during the Wintersday festival every year are you able to get the "Santa hats"? I've been playing the game for two years and just all of a sudden I want one really bad. So I was just wondering if they are able to get every year? I dont remember exactly but from what I remember they were able to get the past few years? But i'm not sure.

Please correct me if I 'm wrong. I just really want one

The hats are different every year....they're not going to make the past years' hats available in the future because it would ruin the prestige of having the old hats, a way to show off that you were there.

its kinda unfair though, because when they bought out those hats, in my time zone it was very late at night and therefore i couldn't get on Guild Wars at those times...

Swear you were able to get the hats every 4 hours or something during the whole day ?

Every 3 hours for 24 hours. And you could just afk for them, you don't actually need to be present to get the hat.

The Wintersday hats have been different every year.

The Avatars of Dwayna and Grenth compete every three hours in the three locations (only LA in 2005) for the whole of the final day (24 hrs). Whichever Avatar won presented a hat to players.

ANet had the Santa-style hats for 2005 and 2006. For 2007, they offered the Wreath and the Ice-Crown styles.

We don't know what the hats will be like for 2008.

Yeah, just loggin, stand there and then go to bed - wake up and you have a couple hats in your inventory.

each "big" event has a different hat each year( winters day, canthan new year). And they will NOT make the old masks available because hats are a way of showing how old you are in GW, it represents that you were there for these historical events.

Actually, anything about Wintersday - like whether the hats will be different or not - is purely up to the whims of the good folks at NCsoft. Any discussion about upcoming events is just speculation.

I bet we get the same hats in LA and Kamadan again.
