Here is my problem, i logged in for the first time in awhile to get some more lockpicks. I can log in and pick a character, but shortly after i start playing my keyboard will stop working. The light will be on but i cannot type anything or even use the windows key. I didn't notice at first since i use a nostromo speedpad for movement and targetting. I know its not the keyboard since after i got it working after the second test on GW i played diablo2 for a good 2 hours. The way to get it to work again is uninstall it form the device manager, and to unplug the usb cable and plug it back in.
I am using Windows XP
a Saitek gaming keyboard
a nostromo speedpadn52
and a mx1000 laser mouse.
Any ideas?
GW causes my keyboard to stop working.

I realy have no idea. I have never heard of this happening before. But then again, I dont check out the forums much. Hopefully someone else can shed a little light on this.

What anti-virus software do you use? Every time I have heard of this it was caused by anti-virus prevents an automatic mode change for the device. It has been reported with Avast 4.8.

Offhand, I'd say it was a driver conflict. I assume that you're running a driver for the Nostromo, what about the keyboard and mouse? You probably don't need a driver for the mouse (WinXP can recognize the buttons without one) and unless you are using special functions on the keyboard you probably don't need a driver for it either. Try uninstalling any mouse and/or keyboard driver. And, of course update the drivers.

Anti-virus wise i'm using Sophos., I'll try disabling it, although you'd think it would mess up in other thing besides GW.
I can remove the software for the keyboard because it did come with a programmable 9 button pad, but i have never used it.
It's just weird because the only thing that has changed on my pc is that last upgade to gw.
Will keep this updated with what i find out.

Well THAT made it worse. I removed the drivers, and software for the keyboard, rebooted. I opened up word and typed out a small bit of text as a test. Opened up Gw, and was unable to type my password. Closed gw, unplugged and plugg the cord for the keyboard, and it worked in word again. I gave gw.exe authorized file status in Sophos, same thing. guess i am goign to send in a support ticket now.

You could try doing the "-image" thing.
