Treasure chests and resetting times
Nanood
All the info I can find on the treasure in Elona points to a general reset time of about a month. I haven't opened any of the chests for over 6 months so I went out yesterday for a run with a couple of accounts. Both accounts hadn't touched a treasure for over 6 months. One of the accounts got golds + maximum cash for every chest and the other account got purples and about 1/3 the gold the other was getting.
I still can't work these things out. There seems to be no pattern to them.. 6 months should be sufficient to reset them I would think.
Anyone else have the same thing happen to them ?

They are just random chests. They won't reset and give you all golds. They will reset and give you SOMETHING.

Each time a character of yours gets a treasure from any one of the stashes, the value will go down, regardless of how long you wait between opening them.

I dunno whats happend, i never had this problem

Loot in the chests is determined when you enter the instance of the map not anything to do with how long you wait between openings or how many times you've opened. It's nearly random the only thing about what you get from a chest thats not random is that it's from a predetermined list of items and that the list is generated at the point you enter the map. there is a thread that goes into great detail about how this works. I recommend you search for it. i bleieve its in the farming forum.

It seems the treasure never resets and eventually will end giving you crap or even nothing.

The point I was trying to make is that treasure drops are not account based, they're character based. If I take my Main character, who has opened all chests 4-5 times, to get the buried treasure in Issnur Isles, I'd probably get 50-75g and a crap grape, regardless of how long I waited between visits. If I take my mule, who hasn't ever touched them, I'd probably get 300-400g and a low quality gold.
Accursed
Everytime one of your characters opens a chest you'll get the maximum gold with the gold weapon. However if you go to the same chest after a month, the god and the weapon will go down in price.
Hope that helps.

The treasure spots in Elona (NOT plain old chests) are "supposed" to reset anywheres from 4-8 weeks. I waited 6 weeks the last time I made a treasure run, and I got roughly 80% of the value of the time before that. The longer you wait between treasure runs, the closer the reward to your first time.

- Treasure Chest/Buried Treasures/Do Not Touch are character based
- First run WILL always give full ammount of gold AND a Gold Item/Rare Crafting Material
- Second run will provide full ammount of gold, but Gold Items are not guaranteed anymore
- From the third run on, the ammount of gold you receive is halved and there's a very high chance of getting a Purple Item instead of a Gold one
- It's currently unknown how much time is needed before those treasure resets. It's believed to be a 30 days time from the previous run. Also, beating the final mission (Abaddon's Gate) seems to be involved in the process somehow. The countdown resets every time you check a treasure (even if it's found empty!) AND after the final mission is beaten for the first time.
So, let's assume you have a character going through Nightfall for the first time. You reach the very first Buried Treasure in Issnur Isles. The countdown for reset starts. 30 days from now. You follow the storyline, two days after you beat the Gate of Pain mission and go check the Treasure Chest in the Domain of Fear. The 30 days countdown restarts. Then you beat Abaddon's Gate. The countdown resets again. Now, 30 days must pass before you can check any of those treasure if you want to get anything. If you go check them before, their reset time will be shifted of 30 more days from your last attempt.
