attribute quest predicament?

Hey guys, let me give you the background first.

So my necro is a prophecies character, and she needs the last attribute point quest. She is not ascended, but became closer to the stars in factions,and unlocked all secondaries. Now, I've gotten runs to THK and beaten prophecies, but for some reason, vanyi won't give me the attribute point quest. I check wiki, and it says the quest is preceded by the ____(insert secondary here) path. Now I travel to them all, and they don't give my the quest. Do I need to be ascended to get these quests, or am I just screwed?

You need to ascend in Prophecies to get those quests I beleive.

Edit: Beaten! Well, Vanyi will also give you a quest that gets you a reward if you do all those other quests (Profession quests) as well.

If you got ran to THK and skipped acsencion then you havent beaten prophecies.

You have to beat the Doppelganger first. Then you'll need to switch your secondary to something different from what you originally chose. You should be able to get the quest then.

thanks for the fast responses. are they available if I already have all of them unlocked or do I have to switch secondaries(example:become n/w and take ranger secondary quest)

@ Gill-yes, I already tried that, I'm wondering if you need to be ascended to do it anyways.

You need to defeat the Doppelganger and ascend in Prophecies to get the quest from Vanyi.

@Gill Halendt: My mistake. It sounded like the OP could not obtain Hero's Journey, which does not require talking to the profession changers, but you are correct with respect to the Hero's Challenge quest.

Since he has unlocked all the secondaries already, he doesn't need to do any of the quests listed above (I don't know if he can even do them now), yet he WILL need to change his secondary when talking to Vanyi to get the quest.

I have done it without changing secondaries. All you do when you get the quest reward instead of accepting the secondary change, you can click it away. However, it's no need for concern because as soon as you have taken the secondary change you can change it back anytime inside a town. So don't worry, you can always change your secondary at any time in any time from the options you have achieved from the moment you have multiple secondaries available.

Ok, That's if you DO any of the quests in the Crystal Desert. Since he already has purchased all the secondary from the Profession Changer, he doesn't need to do those quests. He MUST go to Vanyi with a different secondary tough, otherwise he WON'T get the attribute quest from her.

Just change your secondary profession and you will be alright. You can change it back so it is no big deal.
