It has not been postponed because a date was never announced.

Well, it's not like it actually has any real effect...the vast, vast majority of people don't share their homs with any one else anyways, so the only benefit is whatever you would get out of gw2 for it. As such, it doesn't really matter when the update comes out, so long as its before gw2.

M.O.X. and the September update are separate, I think the September update is on the 11th.

And, as others have said, no date has been announced, so it never was postponed. When they feel like players have had enough time to adjust for these changes, then they will release the update.

September 4: Fall promotion (e.g. Mox) game update

September 11: Regularly scheduled game update (balance changes, XTH points, etc.)

Another thing the devs would like to point out is regarding Tournament Reward Point distribution. Reward points are not distributed with the live build. Reward point distribution comes several minutes after the build goes live.

This is how it works. First, the build goes live. After the build is live, the database is checked to see whether your account is listed and how many reward points you get. Once the list is checked and it finds your account there, the number of reward points you receive are determined, and points are distributed.

Because the number of accounts participating in the Xunlai Tournament House increases each month, the number of accounts that need to be checked also increases (the list of accounts gets longer), which means a little bit of a wait as the list is checked to see if your account is on it.

This is why, when some of you furiously click on the NPC to get your points right after the build goes live, you find that the points have not been distributed yet.
There you go. HoM update won't be in September's update.

It's going to happen...who cares about the "when" part?

Does the date really matter?

I think it has been mentioned that Tormented weapons will be in the September update, but as has been pointed out, the rest of the HoM changes won't be.

Hmm just think... waiting with anticipation is much more fun than to know when it will be just so you can QQ about it not being exactly to your specifications .

Not even sure why the OP would even make this incorrect post without at least checking to see if there had been other threads (Like the one STARTED by Regina re the Sept update).

This forum is not for asking questions directly to GW Employees, those that wish to be contacted have a wiki page and such :/

One would argue that wiki pages are also not for asking questions directly to GW Employees. And should one argue that, I imagine they would win the argument.

Very true - however one would also argue that if one were to really want to directly ask an Anet employee something then that would be the best venue to do so (I assume that the poster in question means their actual user page), I also imagine they would win said argument.

However I would generally guess that directly asking any Anet employee a question like this is a waste of time as they can't answer it. If they could answer it it would have already been posted some place.

I would also highly agree with the sentiment that it doesn't matter as long as it happens before GW2 is out. All we have to know is to hold those items and how to distribute our title hunting - after that there is no reason for them to rush it.

They are being more open than pretty much every gaming company on the planet and are hurting because of it. They are learning the hard way that even though their announcement *helps* gamers it isn't treated as such and to never do that again. If one ever wonders why so many companies are close lipped about anything other than *immediate* releases this is a great reason why.

Given the mount of bad press and hate they have received in the forums I wonder: were you given the choice of delaying GW2 by three to four months to release this quickly after announcing it, wait to announce it until done (and let the gamers work towards the wrong goal for a several months), or endure what they did and loose the money they have which would you choose? Would you choose to loose the money they did in order to save the time of the people who who are denigrating you?

My guess is that Anet has learned their lesson and it isn't the one we really want them too. However it is the one that the realities of the market dictate and is why other companies do as such. Unfortunately sometimes market realities dictate that those that do the Right Thing are punished.
