yeah its the VS farm, i wonder why till now noone ask this to nerf or QQin so i start xD

for ppl who dont know what VS (Voltaic Spear) farm means ---- its a 6-15min run from Umbral Grotto to headchop Justiciar Thommis... just go there, u will see what they do...

not QQin coz price drop, but its kinda exploit ist it?

and i miss duncan so much... hard to find party coz ppl want VS farm only...

dont think it needs a nerf the drop rate is awful been on 25 runs haven't seen 1 drop yet,some 1 i was farming with had been on 50 farms and seen 1 drop

Oh gawd... another please nerf this Anet thread because someone wants the exclusive right to have a certain rare item.
VS for the masses!!!! The farm is an ingenious strategy thought out by someone using the game's possibilities. it's not an exploit. Reward creativity, don't punish it with another nerf.

About this, there was discussion in that thread, and I think it was Arkantos who said that Anet didn't care about all the other rare item prices dropping (mostly as a result of the introducion of HM), so why would they nerf this? It's no different to all the other rare skins getting farmed.

It's not the first time this happens and it won't be the last one...Voltaic will join the club of colossal scimitars, elemental swords, dead swords,etc etc etc.....the list is almost endless...

You have to adapt, or if you want to feel let's say...."rich and special" just buy another skin at this price range (or higher)...

I've sold my r9 voltaic 100k+75e a few days after the farm was posted in guru and i plan to buy it again when it drops below 100k...

and nope it's not an exploit...the guy who thought the farm was clever enough to see the opportunitiy of the specific map design, wall, boss location, everything....

The reason its going to drop in price is not coz the farm makes it easier. Its because the farm has attracted like 1/2 the guild wars pve population. Yes not many drop, but with the sheer number of people going for it, theres probably ATLEAST one drop every 10 minutes. Considering it was probably 1 drop an hour before (if not less, these are pretty arbitrary values) supply should increase by about 6 fold. As well as this, since its no longer such a 'rare' commodity people will stop paying so much for it. Its like the dwarven axe, (not entirely true since this looks remotely decent), as soon as its not rare anymore, not only do people want to pay less for it, but people dont want as many. All those rich folks with their obsidian armor, dread masks, & chaos gloves (looking retarded, but ostentatious) wont find it such an attractive option anymore and wont want em.

This farm doesn't need a nerf. It's good that more people actualy get the chance on getting one of those spears and hopefully make the prices drop. Besides that, I think the spear is ugly as hell and I sold mine directly when I got one from the Z. Chest months ago.

Giving my 5 cents for what is worth. I don't think anet wil nerf it, voltaic is another victim like the colossal , elemental ect (yes I know someone said it). I think what is important to keep in mind is to whom anet is interested most , that would be the poorer class gw player (because it's probably like 97% percent of the populace). So far as long as I can remember with gw there has only been real benefits for the poor out of new updates ect, the only reason the rich can survive is because new gaps exist normally in it or better said they can jump to a next boat.

The last thing I wanted to say...is that people look wrong at an over farm. If something’s value drop ,something else’s value has to get higher. (it's a basic principle you see happening over and over again). Also over farms like these have potential to let the game go on because the condition changes. (you can say new things will come of it because every action has a reaction)

Why should it be nerfed, 2% drop chance in 5-8 min? that takes 50*6=300 mins, which is 5 hours, imo no nerf needed let them waste their time :P

This can't be compared to Colossal Scimitar farming, as the drop rates are completely different. That being said, I agree, let people farm this. I want a cheaper Voltaic...but then they almost never drop so I guess it won't affect cost much.

What you people don't know is that its actually not THAT farmed now since people have a hard time finding permasins starting the run. The run in itself is that short, but getting ONE permasin may take up to a half hour to hour. On top of that most of the sins running are noobs. Though i think ANET might nerf it... it IS an exploit, unlike what the OP says... People are using a wall to block themselves from getting hit... what is more unfair then that.

if any thing Vspears are going up, i sold a req 12 for for 100k+65 ecto the other day. My guild does this farm a TON we have done over 200 runs and only have had 5 or 6 drop so the drop rate still sucks. There's no need for a nerf. If you want to do the full run or w/e just do it with your guild. if your guild does not what to do the full run, to bad?
