Best way to sell a Guild?

I'm looking to sell my guild. None of the guild connections forums seemed quite right and I didn't see anything in the auctions. Is there an ideal place to do so besides just spamming in GW?

Hmmm, i don't really think so, but then again - i don't really think that you should sell guilds to begin with.

the first thing people think when they see you selling a guild is that it isn't worth owning, or you wouldn't be selling it. So there is no easy way to sell it.

unless you have a gold / silver trim cape it is very hard to sell and guild - as most people will just PM you saying "scammer"

i think selling a guild is a waste of time.
trying to get some cash back.. just disband and move on.

get a neutral person to hold the money. Someone you both know/trust.

People will assume you are scamming, or they will try to scam you. The only way to sell a guild is to have someone give you money for it, promote them to Guild Leader, then leave or be kicked. Either you get the money from the person and never promote them, or they get promoted and never give you the money. Either way, this is an easy way for someone to get scammed.
Add on to that things like the cape and name. Cape can be changed, but unless you have won a silver/gold trimmed cape, there is nothing special about it. Unless your guild has a name someone likes, they will be stuck with something they don't like. Since making a guild is cheap, they could just as easily start their own and pick their own name.
NPCs is the only thing that would make a guild worth purchasing. If you had all guild hall NPCs purchased for example, and only sold the guild for 20-30k, the person buying it would save a LARGE amount of money. However, unless your members helped fund the NPCs, this would be a waste of your money.
I'd say your best bet is to sell it to someone in your guild or alliance. However, if you are selling it, chances are good it has no members and isn't in an alliance.
My advice is to suck it up and deal with the loss of money you spent on it. Selling it will either be a scam which will lose you more money, or it will take a LONG time to find someone willing to buy it that wants to buy it.

Cool, thanks for the input. It's more of a "trying to do what's best for remaining members" thing. Original guild leaders are all gone. There's no internal members that want to be leader so I figure only way guild will survive is if they have a leader that wants to be leader. And if someones willing to pay money then they're truly willing to lead (in theory).
Yeah, the whole stuck with the guild name thing sucks. It's only selling point is the full guild hall. Would really suck to leave the guild with someone that scammed to get it. Sigh.
Thanks again.
