If i go on a korean website, like wiki, I see a very odd type of text. Like the following (Sorry for the big picture):

You don't have the correct font installed (one with korean letters, in this case) so you can't see them, instead your computer turns them into weird text like that.

do a search for text packs in your windows file - you might have a bunch of fonts sitting there that just haven't been installed yet - if not you can download them online.
